  1. Photography for me is pure joy that I want to last as long as possible! Why gain a few seconds in a life time, even 100 times a few seconds ? My point of view with the square format viewing is to have less distracting information compared to full format. BUT I know that if ever I am a bit squeezed, there is in reality more registered so I can adapt in post production. Voilà mon Cher Rodéo
  2. The square format obliges me at least to concentrate on the subject and in post, maybe change the format for a 4:3 format. The Z6 only registers the format chosen by the user. The tiny Sony registers full frame but allows others format but just for viewing through the viewfinder and on the lcd screen. No, I only have PS as editor.
  3. Thank you for this unhappy end !
  4. With my tiny Sony RX100 M3, the RAW default setting is 4:3 but I change the VIEWING through the lens and LCD screen to 1:1, so I can better concentrate on my subject. Onece I open these RAW files in PS, the appear 1:1 in camera Raw but also 4:3. In fact images are registrated by default 4:3 (full frame) and the VIEWING is cropped. Anybody knowing on how to get the same option with my Z6? Thank you !
  5. Dear friends, On my tiny Sony RX100 Mark3, I programmed RAW files and viewing size on square (1:1) on the back screen (in order to concentrate on my framing) and discover very happily that the pictures are in fact registered in the DEFAULT SETTING 4:3 format but open in the 1:1 format in Photoshop. Normal ! BUT, if I want to extend my pictures and get 4:3 pictures, I can do so by clicking on the frame symbol in Camera Raw. Very usefull ! In other words, while framing in 1:1 format, the real complete format 4:3 is registered! Somebody here to tell me if this is possible with my Z6 camera and how to do so? I programmed it for RAW files, 1:1 image size and only got square pictures. The camera seems to only register in the programmed image size, so "what you see is what you get". A pity ! Thank you for yur preciuos help.

  10. the picture looks unequally sharp . I would also darken it a bit so the water "perles" show better but it is a nice picture, yes!
