By pressing the center of the multi selector the view will be 1:1. Is it possible to change this setting to say 80% instead of 100%? I am aware, that you can adjust the viewing step by step using the +/- in the magnifying glasses on the left, but that is not fast enough imho and 100% is a little on the high side.
Yes with these 3 models it will be an overkill, however, I am positive, that the interest for other types of photos than family and vacation will appear, as soon as you find out, what can be done with any of the 3 models
I notice, that Micro will try to sell the Lexar business, however, if they do not succeed, how long will they support any claim against warranty. Such period may vary from country to country upto 2 years based on the various domestic laws. The present prices for their high end products wants one to be covered if the unluck hit you.
I have to admit, that I also use my 200-500mm at f/5.6 more than 90% of the time, and that the D90 is the weak link, I mentioned previously suggesting the D7200
Sorry my bad - I had no idea, as I do not have the D90; but I am happy that it is compatible with the cameras I have, because I had never check that before buying the 200-500mm!!
I would go for 200-500mm f/5.6 but is requires good light. Yes it is heavy but a monopod with a gimbal works very fine. if/when it is possible to get into the rescue boats then the 70-200 f/2.8 or f/4 will be great. these to lenses and when the budget allows it the upgrade the house to D500 or D7200 imho.
