Alex, you did a super job of exposure to get the sun rays coming in the window while still getting the clarity of items in the darm room. Usually the images I see have the window totally blown out. Great job.

    Lotus #2

Wonderful image. I like the way you make it seem 3D. The line from tip of the closest petal to the tip of the furtherest petal really draws me from front to back. The lighting is perfect as is the detail. 7/7

    Young Pelicans

Three is always more interesting. Lucky you got all three in this image. Wild life is so fun to work with as subjects.
  4. Dave, I have never seen a gull chick. Nice capture. Good exposure, detail and composition. IMO the white spots near the top are a little distracting - I would clone them out.

    Short-Earred Owl

Great image. I like the framing and vignette to really focus attention on the face.
  6. Nice capture. I like that there are other birds in the image to give a sense of setting.

Michael, I like the treatment you gave this image to make it almost look like it was painted instead of shot. My eye immediately went to the man in the foreground then to the man in the wheel chair. You have placed both the perfect spots for a strong composition. Unfortunately, I can not tell what is happening in the scene. Being able to see that would greatly enhance the overall impact.

Raymond, striking image. The light playing on the surfaces giving rise to various shadows make this image. The detail in the wood grain continue the play. The placement of a very interesting knob is perfect.
  9. Tony, wonderful composition and color. It does evoke happy feelings. It makes you want to be there.

    Harris Hawk

Beautiful image. Perfect DOF and lighting. Wonderful composition and great detail. Was the background added digitally or was it dark naturally?

    Diamond Lake 3

Ernest, nice image. I like the feel of being in the trees on the shore. Seeing the branches and leaves in the foreground make this a more interesting image for me than if you had just had the opposite shore. Good colors also.

  13. Tony, I think this really captures the mood of teh islands. Great natural looking color. Composition has interesting foreground, middle ground and background.

Great artistry. This is a 7/7 for but I accidently hit a 6 in the ratings and could not change it. This could be a poster anywhere or a book or mag cover. I love your work!!

Pierre, I think you could achieve this with your open aperture concept and some patience. This was taken in a butterfly exhibit. I doubt I would ever find this in the wild. Patsy, I always find your images interesting and inspiring.

Jim, beautiful image. The varied colors and textures are very nice. The man walking on the sidewalk really adds the feel of the human condition.
