Tony, I like the simplicity of this image. I also thing the non parallel lines add to the old age feeling of this subject. I may have tried moving the framing down to include more of the ground in front. To me there is either not enough of the ground or it should not be included at all. If needs more balance one way or the other.

Holger, I wonder what you could get by getting at an angle of say 45 degrees to the right to give it a more diagonal look. You have a foreground, middle ground and a background. In this shot the foreground gets a lot of attention because there is so much water in it. Having the bridge up in the sky helps bring attention to it as the contrast behind it is more pronounced. Maybe even a lower angle would be even stronger. Just some ideas to spur your imagination. Dave

I enjoyed taking and processing this image - it is my first try at this and would greatly appreciate any feedback on both its good and bad points. I am especially interested in your thoughts about the background choice. All suggestions for improvement are highly regarded. I will try to do the same for you.
