Hi Fevzi, I trully didn't know how to categorize this photo. What would you suggest?

Just to clarify that this was not posed for. I saw this young woman sitting on a small dock soaking up the last rays of the evening sun and I just clicked...

Thank you Linda! Working on this I was reminded of the wonderful child years I spent on Long Island in the late 60's! Happy, beautiful people everyware.....

To tell the truth Markku, your abstracts and minimalistic presentations have been a great inspiration and source of learning for me and have helped me to come up with photos like this.

A great big thanks for everything!

Thanks Pierre! This is a wonderful but little known secluded part of the Attica peninsula. I enjoy long peaceful moments there admiring views like this....

Jennifer, you give a wonderful analysis of the scene and I am glad that I managed to capture the serenity of that particular moment....

Thank you for you comment! Cheers, Nick....

Thank you very much for you comment Christal!

Actually this whole series of seaguls comes directly out of the camera. The only changes are crop & contrast. This was taken on a cruise ship. I was standing on the 4th deck and there was a gentleman on a blacony 10 yards away to the side throwing bread to the gulls. They would swoop down towards the sea to catch the pieces and then would slowly work their way up towards 4th deck level. This way I had guls flying at the same speed as the moving ship (therefore motionless from my point of view) and at a slight down angle from where I was standing hence the blured sea (with bow waves) in the background.

I'm glad you like my photos... cheers, Nick

Yeah, there is a resemblance although our bio's are very different! His name was Matija Gubec http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matija_Gubec and his face is sculpted on a corner on Mark's square in Zagreb.

I had a lot of fun doing this series because you learn that a smile is not as easy to reproduce as you might think. There are so many parts of the face that actually move during a smile...

I'm glad it caught you attention Mike! Thanks for the comment...
