This one was taken with my point and shoot. I went back to this scene soon after I got my new cam and made several new photo's.
I will post the best one and would like to hear what you think once I did.
It might take a while. I am experiencing some serious computer problems here. Help is on it's way though.

Thanks Ton,
Glad you like it!

I tried several type of frames but so far with little succes. The poles of the construction are all somewhat tilted and the black lines in the frame seemed out of place. At least they did in my versions... however, feel free to experiment with it. Would realy like to see your view.
Sorry for the late responce. I am having some computer problems. Mostly PEBKAC.. ( problem existing between keyboard and computer )

Well done! This way she get's all the attention she deserves! I think it's a big improvement.. but off course, far more important is what you think.

I agree on cropping or cloning the person on the right..What also bothers me a little is the reflection of something metallic halfway in the building.
But I disagree on the need to giving the woman more space in the front.
She does not need it...this way she looks feisty enough to step right out of that frame and onto my desk any minute..
I often like how my eyes are being lead into a picture by something or someone in the space in the foreground.. but in this composition my eyes first see the woman, stop for a while to have a real good look at her (beautiful face!) and from there on are lead all the way back by the diagonal of the building. Adding even more to the feeling she has come a long way.....
Good shot.. sure works for me:)!

Oh boy... looking at this catch I can't help but thinking she'll grow up to be quite a handful soon. She has that look that makes you instantly forgive her for all the naughty things she has been up too. She is drop dead gorgeus! Beware of the day she starts realising it :P
And you know.. It's not only her being so beautiful that makes this photo work.. It's your love for her shining through that does the trick. That river of warmth flows all the way from your photo to my screen and beyond.
Lucky you.. lucky her..:)!!
Thanks for sharing...

Hahhaha, I am afraid my motives to present this photo the way I did were a lot less thought full than you suggest..The reason I took the photo in the first place was because it is a scene so uncommon to me as a Dutchie.. The only fish tanks I see in restaurants I tend to visit in Holland are there for decoration.
Koreans are a lot more practical. Most of their decoration material (if any) is edible as well.
I think they used to store and cool lemonade cans in this container but one day decided there was more money to make in storing and selling life fish.
Thats what the logo represented to me.. commercial value.
You got me on it being tilted a bit.. I had not noticed. I like your explanation for it though!
Thanks for taking the time to visit and comment Charles, I appreciate!

Echt HEEL goed gedaan.

Ruud, Koushik, Happy New Year to the both of you! Thanks for stopping by.

I have been experimenting with overexposure and high contrast. These guys were working way up in the sky on top of an appartment building. No safety nets not safety lines.. no safety nothing...Incredibly brave and stupid at the same time! I watched them for quite some time and took a few shots. Not really sure how they would turn out. The sky was pretty boring and the light was awful. But I was pleasantly surprised.. glad you guy's like it too.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and comment. These "guys" somehow remind me of little birds in a nest waiting for their parents to come feed them..

Thanks Jasmina. I took several pictures of her and like most people here, she could not care less. They don't pose, they don't even give you a second look.. they just get on with whatever it is they are doing. Problem with this serie was (is) that the background was real loud.. no matter which angle I tried photographing her.
Thanks for stopping by and comment!

I can't think of anything to improve here. Composition, DOF, tones.. It's all here and it works magic. Congrats!

Dejan, I have looked at this photo for quite some time. clicked it away and went back to it to see if I would change my mind.. but no.. I can't find anything I do not like in this photo. I really really love this scene. Well seen, well captured and very well presented. Ignore the 4's it got and enjoy the welldeserved 6'es!
I must admit I am curious to see how it would look like in B&W. Not that I think it would look even better.. just curious.. :)

I could look at this for hours without getting tired of it! Those wornout steps, that hint of whats around the corner in the mirror....to me it's romantic and spooky at the same time. VERY interesting piece of work.. thanks for sharing!

Great catch! Lots to enjoy here. So many details and stories all in one photograph. The figure in the back is the icing on the cake! However I find the foreground in this photo too dark and the skin of the lady with the bags looks green on my screen. IMHO this scene would benefit from a little less PS.
Dutch greetings,
