The lighting really is amazing, as is the DOF. I don't miss any detail of the sand right in front of me, but neither is the clarity of the outhouse lost. You manage to make the outhouse look like a warm welcoming place where I'd LIKE to be.

    Old times

I like the concept, and the color of the sky is perfect. As far as critiques go, two small points: I think the wall and the tree are slightly underexposed, and I wish I could see what the wall goes down to!

The eyes and the pose are fantastic. They're what made me click. However, once I did and saw it in larger form, I felt like the skin might be a little over sharpened? Especially on the nose and cheeks.
  1. I like this subject and I think the raindrops on the petals are great. I just wish the flower was slightly higher in the frame so that my eye could follow the contour of the petal edges. (Some of them are cut off at the bottom.)

Thanks Jayme. Thanks for giving me the word "skeletal" too... I felt there was something gnarly and violent about it, but I would never have hit upon that word. :)

    Bride

I've never seen a bride look like that, so I found it interesting in that regard. I'm not exactly sure what she would be doing there. That being said, I think the idea is very original and I like that her hair is the focal point.
  2. This is like zeitgeist or something... I have a photo very similar to this, except that mine shows a tree and the sun is directly behind it.

I really like you're composition here -- the placement of the sun and the way the second stem shadows the first. DOF is very nice, as is the detail on the main stem. I'm wondering why the lower right corner is slightly darkened?

This wouldn't be nearly as cool without those fake roses all over her head! That and the fur coat... such a cool touch. I also like the yellowish coat in the background, which makes your main subject stand out more. This picture made me laugh.

I like the color and the DOF in this shot. I also appreciate the wolves sort of relaxed quality. I just wish I could see their front paws!
