..thanks for your attitude and honesty, I respect your decision not to compare simliar images as one also would not do with twins. thus I value your words even more. thanks,
-
thank you so much for your time you spent on looking at these pictures and for pointing out the likes and dislikes.
Now after you mentioned those points, I agree with you when looking only at the small versions here on PN.
but after enlarging them I personally prefer the color contrast of the green/yellowish lower part of this image.
a little crazy how differently photos can look in different sizes :)
cheers, patrick

thanks for your lovely words, I'm honored to get so much very positive feedback (especially from women ;) ) hug, patrick

I'm glad you like either version, I also thought both are at least good enough to be part of my humble portfolio :)

hehe wow thanks Maria, I never heard 'fine art' in connection with one of my photos. you instantly brought a grin on my face, thanks :)

nice series Tim, I really love your simple and minimalistic compositions! congrats, cheers,

A pushed night shot with intensive colors, what do you think about it?do you prefer the less processed version located in the same folder?
thanks for your time, cheers, Patrick

thanks Hussein and Richard, I'm glad you like this humble shot.

enjoy this shot of a calm rural scene on a late autumn afternoon, shortly before sun set.
hope you like it, thanks for your time you spend and spent on commenting and rating my photos

thanks for your honest words Jeroen, you brought up a good point with the house in the bg. to be honest with you, I didn't see it in the frame while taking this shot and cropping it out afterwards would have destroyed the balance. so I just left it as it was :)
maybe I will try to clone it out when time allows and compare the results.
thanks for the hint, I'm glad you took as much time as you did to discover such a detail. kudos, patrick

I'm so happy you pointed out what's "wrong" with this shot, I also thought there is room for improvement but wasn't sure where exactly.
you are right with the perspective, sadly I have no wider lens yet, but I'm trying to get one since over a year and can't decide which one to take :D
thanks for giving me such a good and constructive critique, I will think of it the next times I find myself in situations like the one above.
cheers, patrick

...thanks for your kind words and pointing out what you like.

... thanks for expressing your thoughts, especially since they're so positive :)
the high dynamic range was achieved by a 3-bracket hdr exposure.
greets,

when seeing this abandoned and battered train I thought it could make for a great picture in b/w. now it turned out better in color.
what do you think about this shot? about the perspective and the postprocessing?
comments will be valued, thanks for your time, patrick

Chris, this is a magnificant image, I love the decent tones and the overall composition with the half hidden trees in the back. the "strange spot on the left" is only one of many dust spots you have on your sensor, try cleaning it or get it done by a shop, it's done in a few minutes and improves the overall quality and appeal of your images a lot. (also had this problem with my eos 400d :D)
nonetheless, wonderful image, I love it! congrats,

..thanks for your rating

pleas be sure to view large version in this case.
thanks for your ratings and comments, I'll reply asap

... for your comment and for taking the time to write and rate.

... I'm glad you like this shot the way it is, especially the hazy mountains. I thought about and tried pushing and sharpening them a little, but that reduced the contrast in layers which you mentioned.
-
thanks for recognizing me and stopping by :)
be sure to check out the large version for all details.
hope you like this shot, greets, patrick

thank you very much for sharing your thoughts, you are right with the cold-or-warm thing. now as I think about it, I would also not be sure which atmosphere to see/feel here.
fyi, it was kinda warm outside the forrest, inside in the shades of the trees not that warm :)
greetings, patrick

... you found even more interesting composition elements in this shot than I did :) I'm glad you like the result as much as the details that make this shot. thanks,

thanks a lot for your nice words, I'm glad you found the 'perfect' word for the feeling of this shot, surreal fits wonderfully!
