Diego, thanks for your comment on my Giants Causeway shot and for letting me know of your wonderful "Northern Ireland" folder here. I see you really love the square format, don't you? ;) my favorite within this folder is this shot here, the shapes of the tang(?) on the water and the reflections work perfectly.
best wishes from Northern Ireland,
patrick :)

btw. for a literally "quick and dirty" version of this shot with a totally different look, please scroll down till the end at at the no-words forum thread "She is lonely in the rain..."

thanks for your nice words Nikolay, it's indeed a very lovely place that I will travel a lot in the next month :)

btw. you're right with your citation: "a camera is just a tool to teach you see the world without it" :)

one typical not so typical shot from one of Irelands three greatest natural attractions - Giants Causeway.

thanks, patrick

thanks miguel, that's a very good point indeed, I haven't thought about that yet. now that you say, I really should start using dodge&burn more often :)
best wishes,

what do you think about this composition? I'm somehow happy with it, but can't figure out what to do to improve this shot? maybe a tighter crop or wider angle would work well?
thanks for your help, patrick

this one was taken at the american war cemetery in the normandy in France. it was so scaring how many young people have lost their lives at Omaha Beach...
please let me know your thoughts, emotional or photographical, everyone's welcome.
thanks, patrick

very sensual shot, I really like the mood you created here, thanks for sharing. all the best,

body art like piercings can look very good in reality, but in photos I also think they act distracting. my eye can't focus her face long enough to be not distracted to the piercing.
I hope you get some good shots, where you can make the piercing or tattoo the main focus of the photo. greetings,
-
interesting 'vignetting' effect on the top.
-
you have an interesting style, I like your way of processing and how you add textures to achieve this special look. good work, keep it rollin' ;) regards,
-
bw works good here, atmosphere nicely captured. horizon is a little tilted and there's something in the lower left corner, that acts disturbing. besides this, good shot, regards,
