I like your idea. I like the different geometry of the crate just shoved in the natural shapes of the rocks. Everything becomes all askew. I think this image is a bit bright however.
  1. Thanks for the comments. The sky was very dramatic yesterday afternoon when I took this. I am disappointed though at how flat the lower half of the photo looks. It was much more bright when I finished with Photomatix. As soon as I was looking at it in Bridge, it went flat. I don't really understand that. Any ideas? It is the same monitor.
  2. When I was looking at this scene and the cloud it was rather arresting. This is full

frame. I think a panoramic shot may have been better. Too much sky? I was trying to

show the isolation of the lone cloud. It's on the south side of Anza-Borrego State Park

    in CA.

  3. Is this Roosevelt Lake? It's beautiful. It is such an odd sight to see a body of water in a desert environment. I love the clouds and their shadows in the background. I think I would have included a bit more of the saguaros. They have such interesting shapes and seem somewhat cutoff. You end up losing maybe that big top left cloud but gain an interesting contrast to the smooth lines of the water and hills.
