Beautiful photograph.

Beautiful photograph. The undulations in the lake bed really add to the depth of the photo.

Amazingly beautiful colors.

Thanks for the comments. The sky was very dramatic yesterday afternoon when I took this. I am disappointed though at how flat the lower half of the photo looks. It was much more bright when I finished with Photomatix. As soon as I was looking at it in Bridge, it went flat. I don't really understand that. Any ideas? It is the same monitor.

Comments and criticisms appreciated. Yes it is HDR and yes, I am aware of that
stupidly bright cloud highlight in the upper left. My PS skills are lame. I am trying...

I like the colors you had on the first one more than this. I realize it is a sunrise or sunset but in my opinion, the bottom 40% of the image is a bit too flat.

Sunrise fog at Bosque del Apache NWR 1-09. It was a beautiful mauve fog that drifted
in and quickly disappeared.

This is what Flagstaff looks like through the lens pointing out the passenger window
while your wife is driving and racing a semi down I-19 just south of 1-40.

When I was looking at this scene and the cloud it was rather arresting. This is full
frame. I think a panoramic shot may have been better. Too much sky? I was trying to
show the isolation of the lone cloud. It's on the south side of Anza-Borrego State Park
in CA.

Is this Roosevelt Lake? It's beautiful. It is such an odd sight to see a body of water in a desert environment. I love the clouds and their shadows in the background. I think I would have included a bit more of the saguaros. They have such interesting shapes and seem somewhat cutoff. You end up losing maybe that big top left cloud but gain an interesting contrast to the smooth lines of the water and hills.
