Please, please, please include the top of all pointed structures. These structures tend to lead the eye to a single point, however this photo leads my eye right off the photo. The composition would have been improved if you included the tree you were unsuccessfull at cropping out. -
The editing on the sky is a bit much. It appears contrived.

Regardless of the name on the Jersey you can tell this game is being played in the south. Being from Detroit it is quite unusual to see someone posted in front of the net all by themselves. If this were in the D that guy would be on his rump. Nice action photo Ken. One thing though. I probably would have tried to adjust the white balance a bit on this one. What do you think?

Yes. Just off Main St. south of Downtown. Thought about taking the capture myself. Well done.

I think a tighter left to right crop and a longer top to bottom crop. If the docks are in the foreground and your going to use them in the photo I think the composition would be better if you showed more of them. Like you did in the BandW.

Nice composition Mom. Good use of BandW. I've tried taking photos of Fermie but I don't have the luxary of belonging to a boat club across the harbor, hence the composition isn't as nice as this. Well done. Good crop too. Perfect.

I think I would have enjoyed this photo more if there were something that anchored the capture. I feel as if this is only half the photo.
