I like this picture, when i first saw it on the home page, i noticed how the background swirled, i have a yashica c tlr that does that effect when the lens is close to wide open, i really like the lighting here and the model's smile, very beautiful. keep up the good work

    back swing, thanks for looking

Hi, if you really want to experiment with fill flash, use it during daylight, with a backlit subject, this is when fill flash really stands out well. here is an example of fill flash with back lighting

  2. this is a scene i photographed late this evening up on chilhowee

mountain in eastern tenn. when i got out of the car i heard an explosion

in the distance. i looked out over the lake and there was a boat that

had exploded. in front of the distant mountain you can see the smoke

coming from it. After i made the photograph i went off the mountain and

there were emergency vehicles everywhere, i was told that no one was

killed but they were seriously injured.

    Old love letters

Very touching, this is definetly a thing of the past especially in this age of email and text messaging, I remember when in jr. high everyday i would write my girlfriend a letter and she would write me one, and we could exchange them after school before we got on our separate buses, i remember my heart warming as i would those letters, hard to believe it has been over 30 years ago, this post brought back alot of memories, thanks, btw, excellent image, i think this would look really awsome in black and white.

bought an old calumet view camera the other day, already had a

162mm wollensak, playing around with the front tilt and back tilt,

interesting how it would only just so high because the tops of the trees

moved out of the focal plane.
