This shot of my daughter and her racoon pets in the bedroom was taken with one of the first 35mm film autofocus point and shoots from the last century that seldom got it right. Crappy on the technical side, but I like the emotive presence. -

Powerful diagonal flow and juxtaposed saturation from bottom to top. The crack in the road really makes the shot! -

The red nymph waits patiently in her tree for the boy that promised to take her to the faery dance in the woods on this night of festivity in the fertile rains upon the land. He of course accepted the suggestion of copious drinking of spirit as proposed by the fraternal males of his bond as a pre-dance measurement of ensuring enjoyment of the event. This prelude occupied the night; and he fell asleep in a drunken slumber instead of remembering his obligation. Any thought he had of offering his own fertility toward our red nymph was dashed in this regard. You will note the broken nuts she spread about to hopefully wake her if fallen to sleep to indicate her boyfriend’s footsteps that never occurred. -

This is not a cliche shot, modest one! What separates it is the high f/stop, long focal range, which gives the good foreground story telling component of the vegetation beneath, which most shots miss. Looks like a fresnel lens in the lighthouse. -
A ghost to be seen next year again! -
I sense that there is a faery behind this illusion! -
