1.
Why not just use Live View on your 7D II? It has a 5x and 10x magnification. Attach something like a Hoodman HoodLoupe if necessary.

 2.
I'm a rebel. I love Tmax 400 in D76 at 20c.

 3.
When it comes to medium format, film is still the most economical way to go. It also makes it more enjoyable (in my opinion).

 4.
Thanks everyone. It appears that I have been given an A42 cap. As David points out, an A42 cap fits over an E39 filter.

Very confusing but at least I know now :-)

 5.
Hi Guys,

I am a bit puzzled by the sizing of the metal push on Leica lens caps e.g. A36, A39 etc. Can anyone help?

I have an A36 cap and the internal diameter measures 36mm as I expected. I also have what is purported to be an A39 cap but the internal diameter actually measures 42mm. Do the numbers refer to the internal diameter of the caps or something else?

 6.
Beautifully detailed shots Robert, thank you.

 7.
Thank you all for your help. Seems like a bit of a nightmare. I will have to get hold of a different developer. I only have 1 roll and I don't really want to make a mess of it.

 8.
Hi folks,

I have a roll of Tech-Pan in my fridge that's been there for years. I've never got around to shooting it. Can anyone remind me the most popular way to shoot this stuff? I seem to remember that rating it at ISO 25 was the norm but would appreciate your advice or any possible pitfalls.

I would also like to develop it in D76 if possible. Any advice on the dilution and developing time?

 9.
Well that's a great outcome! If the alcohol doesn't do the trick then try some fine emery paper taped on the end of a pencil.

 10.
It's just a shame there's nowhere near me where I could try them out. It's probably a 4 hour drive minimum to the nearest place that would have these things in stock. And with the price of fuel here in the UK it would cost me half as much as the viewfinder itself just to get there.

 11.
I have just found one on eBay for £140. Expensive, but if it's better than the Voigtlander finder then it would make sense buying it.

 12.
To Jim:
Ha ha! I'll bet you're glad I asked the question now. Now you have a viewfinder in perfect condition :-)

To David:

No, I don't wear glasses. I have scoured eBay for a Russian 21mm finder but without luck. I assumed they didn't make one until you posted that link. I imagine they are hard to find and I suspect they will sell for at least as much as the Voigtlander version.

 13.
Hi Jim,

Thanks for that. That's not a good outcome! I'd rather have a viewfinder with frame lines very close to the edge of the viewfinder. I don't really want to see a rectangle in the middle of the view showing the boundaries of a 21mm lens. All the rest is wasted space in my opinion.

 14.
From Kodak's reply, I sense that they have had problems with this which is the reason they made changes to their production. The least they could do is to send you 10 free rolls.

 15.
I'm going to invest in a 21mm lens for my M6 TTL but can't decide which viewfinder to go for. Voigtlanders own viewfinder is probably the cheapest option but I would like your opinions.

 16.
If one of the metal tabs is missing then a battery grip WILL NOT WORK. The battery grip uses the metal tabs to send power to your camera. I think buying a new camera will be the cheapest solution, sorry.

 17.
Fuji GA645ZI sounds great but it is AF so you have to trust the camera to get the right thing in focus. I had a GA645 and sold it because the focus was unpredictable, especially close up.

I also had a Fuji GW670III and it was an amazing camera. The lack of a light meter was really annoying but if you can live without one I would highly recommend any of the Fuji 6x7, 6x8 or 6x9 rangefinders.

Mamiya 7 is probably the ultimate solution but they're not cheap.

 18.
Do they look like this on your camera screen? Or only when you download the photos to your computer?

The usual culprit is the memory card. Format the card in camera and try again. If it does it again, try a different card.

 19.
Don't worry about it. I had a home darkroom for years and never wore gloves. My hands were soaked in all the chemicals countless times. That was 20 years ago and I'm still here... no ill effects.

Smoking or drinking alcohol is much more damaging to your body.

 20.
Well it worked. I processed it for 7.5 minutes at 23 celsius. Unfortunately only a few frames had survived the light leak and they were all junk anyway. Nevertheless it was an interesting experiment. Here's an example...

 21.
The 24-105mm f4L IS becomes a different lens when DLO is applied in DPP. The images sharpen up wonderfully. It is the only lens I use DLO on and it works wonders. If you haven't tried it, you must.

 22.
Thanks guys, that's good info. If I get anything worthwhile I'll let you know.

 23.
I've seen good results from C41 in D76 and the stuff on the film is not important to me. I have a big batch of D76 sitting here so I am going to do it anyway... I just need a development time. I am thinking of 20 mins at 20 celsius in D76 stock but would like some other opinions before I try it.

 24.
My camera broke, the film door flew open and ruined a roll of Superia 1600. It's not worth sending off to be processed so I was doing to dunk it in D76 to see what I can salvage. Any ideas about what the development time should be in D76 stock?
