1.
...and the last one ;

 2.
Hello everybody !

 3.
Scratch on the rear element is the worst thing can happened to a lens ! It definitely affect the projected image. And this is a big stain/scratch. You must return it and get another one .

 4.
Sorry if my question is off-topic : I wonder if anybody noticed how (high iso-or any iso settings) sharpness is affected by active d'lightning...If not, try to take some pictures with and without AD and compare them...
...and a"m sure the buffer is also reduced by high iso NR activation !?

 5.
What can I say..., she's a cute hairy one :-) , but now that you mention it , I think you are right about the hair. The pictures were taken yesterday, around 7 pm...
The last picture was edited in Photoshop CS5...,all the blur circles was added in post...

 6.
...and the last one :

 7.
A friend of mine asked me to take pictures of his 3 month old daughter :

 8.
Very interesting Shun, thanks . And very important for future users of D500. More than one year I use my Sony XQD card only as a backup and never had single problem with it. I thought it was a very fast one like advertised. Not so. And that's the reason I posted the above test...
Many people will be tempted to buy less expensive models . They should be aware of the limitations concerning those XQD cards.

 9.
Set "D-Lighting" to OFF and try again...

 10.
Sorry that I try to help you..., anyway , what kind of wedding photographer are you , obviously a young one (to be kind).

 11.
They start earlier here in Europe. As a NPS member I receive my invitation on the 08.01.2016. and the meeting took place on the 14 of ian (6-8pm). It was a presentation of D5 but no one was allowed to test or take picures with the camera .

 12.
I concur with Edward Ingold :"One stop doesn't make the viewfinder dark. The change is barely visible"...I use D4s with 70-200/4 VR exactly for that reason : to save weight. Optical, compared to 70-200/2,8 this two lenses are almost identical, same bookeh, same colors and almost same sharpness (70-200/2,8 II being sharper). I have both lenses , using the big one to shoot "trash the dress" sessions with my D3/D4s , and carrying all day (wedding day) D4s+70-200/4 and D810 with 24-70/2.8 and some small 1.4 primes .

...Oh, and I almost forget : 70-200/4 have way better stabilization...

 13.
" However, the write speed seems slow for an XQD cards"
...yes it is , and that's why I run a test with 3 cards, two XQD : Sony N 64GB + Lexar 1333 64GB and one CF : Sandisk Extreme 64GB/120MB/s (in this order)
Why those ? : because they are the cheapest of their kind and almost the same on the paper.
Equipment : One PC with Windows 7(Intel I7) and SSD hard drive and two card readers, Lexar and Sony XQD, both USB 3.
The file to move : one folder(5,66GB) containing 635 pictures.
The write(from SSD to card) time on the cards was : 4M46s, 2M39s and 1M48s.
The read(from card to SSD) time was aprox : 8seconds, 7s and 5s
Conclusion :
-if you want speed on the XQD, you have to buy the latest models
-CF is not dead yet - they are fast enough if you have a deep buffer.

 14.
My Xqd reader just arrived and it seems (at first look) that the card is Ok.
It has/display 64 Gb capacity (even after formating) , the write speed is aprox 60Mb/s and read speed is 125 Mb/s.
What can I say !?..., surely the packing was not at EU or US standards, I can tell the difference.
Hopefully, it will do his job ...

 15.
...and I feel spring in yours. Thanks Tony !

 16.
Todd Owyoung make an important comment :
"Without having compared the D810 to the D500 directly, I think the high ISO performance is very close (the pixel pitch of the D500 is smaller, but not by much)"

 17.
And another one :

 18.
The pictures below was taken just a few minutes before the main photo session
begin, while me and my cameraman prepare and set up our gear (photo & video equipment). The couple was'nt aware of me taking pictures yet...
Love is wonderful ...

 19.
I totally agree with you Shun, and since in my town nobody owns D4 or D4s , I will wait for XQD reader to arrive.

 20.
The answer just arrived :

"Thank you for your e-mail.

We do apologize but unfortunately we can’t determine whether the card is genuine or fake, if you have any doubts about the card being genuine or fake, I would recommend that you contact your vendor regarding that issue.

If I can be of further assistance then please do not hesitate to contact me"

 21.
Thanks Shun and anybody else who helped. I will keep you informed of progress and let you know when eurosupport@lexar.com will give me an answer... I hope they will !

 22.
My suspicion rise when noticed the colour of marked stripe on the pakage. It should be shiny gold ...(not matte mustard brown or Kaki-whatever)

 23.
Thanks Pete, Shun and Noreen,
- I hope that someone with similar product can tell is there any difference...
- It was only 80$ but no refund is possible
- Yes, is D4s and the main card that I use is CF (backup is Sony XQD 64)
- Yes, I'm afraid it may affect the camera electronics
- Just ordered Sony XQD reader from B&H
