Thanks Steve and Daniel,
I've been watching the nest for about 5 weeks and knew the goslings were due. I've been puting together a series of photos covering the whole sequence from their choosing the nest to the birth of the chicks. I was really hoping to catch the goslings in the nest - tomorrow they may be on the water. Thanks for the encouragement. Tony

These Canada Goose Goslings were hatched today. Goose and Gander are
doing fine!

Please critique. Thanks, Tony

Brave new world, brave new little miracles. Within six months those
tiny wing buds can fly 2000 miles.

It's photographs like this that inspire me. What more can I say? It would look great framed on a wall. Thanks, Tony

Nicely done. Would have been nice to have a few spring flowers, but there is enough in the foreground to capture interest. Regards, Tony
-
This time I composed 10 photographs for depth of field, bringing each
flower into sharp focus. I used mirror lock up with timer exposure to
avoid camera shake. And I backlit the flowers in the shadows with
some foil. Any critiques are welcome. Tony

Technical details: Mirror lockup, 10 superimposed images for
increased depth of field. Any suggestions please? Tony

Where I live, these birds are extremely difficult to capture. Good work, Tony

Comments appreciated. This is a composite of seven photographs to
create greater depth of field. The exposure has been increased by 2/3
stop. Tony.

Thanks Bruce for the encouragement. Compostion was my focus on this one. I think I need to brighten it up half a stop. On the white balance issue, I adjusted the white balance of the "white spots" to true white in Photoshop RAW. How it appears on a monitor is an open question. I shoot Adobe RGB and print Adobe RGB, so the prints look great. But monitors generally cannot hold that colour gamut - so that may be a white balance issue. Tony

Great subject, nicely captured. The rainbow promises hope against that black sky. Nice foreground composition offsets the sky. Thanks, Tony

Seven exposures combined to improve depth of field. Any thoughts
please? Tony
