This American Coot is returning to its nest deep in the reeds. There
are several coot chicks - but so far not possible to photograph.

Thank you to each one who took the time to critique my little green frog! Megan, I took your suggestions and did some work in photoshop - which I will post soon. Most of my pictures could be improved in photoshop - however I'm trying to focus on my skills as a wildlife photographer, so none of my photos are edited. As Patrick pointed out this limits my scope. Your critique is nevertheless valid and valued. Thank you!

Ontario.

This female mallard duck has just taken a bath. She appears to be
loosing her flight feathers. I love that pose. Comments welcome!

I'd appreciate some thoughts on how to frame this beautiful bird. Did
I crop it too tight? Any other help please? Thanks, Tony
Tornado at Lac Gagnon, Quebec
in Nature
Posted
At 8:50pm on 17th July 2006 a tornado cut a swath 200 feet wide
through our wooded cottage property. The cottage in the centre of the
path miraculously escaped serious damage but we lost almost all our
trees. This photo was taken during the fierce electrical storm that
followed. I had to manipulate the photo to remove the effect of the
mosquito netting. I tried to capture the intensity of the storm. Any
thoughts? Tony
