  5. Mike_Halliwell was asking for the rest of the EXIF info on my vulture shot . It was 1/640, f5.6 + .3 EV taken at 200mm on my Nikon f4 200-400mm zoom
  6. At 6 AM, dawn in the Pantanal, we saw this black vulture on a floating caiman carcass trying to figure out how to pierce its skin to get a meal. Shot at ISO 25600 (the max on my D500) and denoised in ON1 software.
  7. When I try to log on to this website my Kapersky antivirus software says it is insecure because some certificate is not up to date. That was never an issue before the update to this site.
  8. Wood Stork - more from the Pantanal. An amazing place. In 10 days I photographed about 110 different birds I had never seen before plus 5 types I had seen in other places And there were about 50 other species that were too fast or to far to photograph
  9. more from the Pantanal. These 2 species always seem to hang out together.
  10. BENRO model FIF28C carbon fibre tripod and head. excellent condition. One of the legs can be detached to be a monopod. Comes with carrying case and metal tripod leg spikes. I am in Canada but can ship to the US. Price includes shipping to US.
  11. No, not another Pantanal photo. A curlew in Vancouver, BC
  12. Another of the 100+ different birds i photographed in the Pantanal with my D500 and Nikon 200-400mm F4
  13. I am back and the trip was great . I brought only my 200-400mm and used it on a monopod. I am glad I left the 600 at home . At times with the jaguars, even 200mm was too much. These were taken at 200mm from about 40 ft away. Some of the birds were far and even 400mm was too little but others were pretty close
  14. Black collar black collared hawk from the Pantanal
  15. Whistling Heron - Pantanal Brazil - A few minutes later it swallowed the frog whole
  16. Another from my Pantanal trip
  17. A Cocoi Heron from the Pantanal. Add 3 hours to the time clock if you are looking at that.
  18. Ilkka , Once you put the flash on the camera the compensation is controlled by the camera
  19. I have a D500 and an SB800. I want to use mild fill flash, eg 1/16 or 1/32 on the combo for bird photography. The SB800 manual says I have to set the compensation on the camera but I can only find EV settings on the camera of minus 1 to 3 EV. Am I missing something?
  20. female wood duck and her brood of 8 .
