  1. Not by me, but by Christopher Nolan. Part of my IMAX 70mm Oppenheimer experience.
  2. A few photos from Morro Bay Maritime Museum, using Kodak Vision 3 500T cine film. Camera was Lomo LC-A, film was home developed. The submersible was what navy used to rescue people from submarines in trouble. But I guess the recent tragic Titan submersible was too deep for this type of rescue vessels. Submersible and triple smoke stacks What goes inside? Colorful like tropical fish
  3. Two more 6x12 color pano in Montara Beach near Pacifica, California. Using the Holga 120 Pan with Wollensak EWA 90/12.5 lens. Very expired Fuji NPZ 800 color film. Lonely lifeguard station The hike down to the beach
  4. Bit strange, it did not work for me. Like the last post with the flickr link. @Niels - NHSN may I ask which browser (Safari, Edge, Chrome) are you using? And on which computer OS (Windows, Mac)?
  5. Thank you both. Maybe I was using the BBC code instead of just the link. Will try it later.
  6. After you cleaning up every last bit of old green grease, I recommend using this grease for the helicoid. You can find it on Amazon. Helimax-XP Camera Telescope Optical Instrument Focusing Helicoid Grease w/PTFE 1oz 28g
  7. A few 4x4 photos from Bell & Howell Electric Eye 127 camera, in Oyster Point of South San Francisco. Film was expired ReraPan 400, with orange filter, and developed in F76+ 1+9. Ferry Terminal Fishing Pier
  8. Last camera for the last few days of my 127 month: Bell & Howell Infallible Electric Eye 127. And the auto-exposure via the selenium meter is still working reasonably well. Photos will be in the weekly.
  9. Last year I unstuck an Agfa lens mount (Isolette medium format folder, front cell focus) due to green grease, I soaked the entire unit in 91% alcohol overnight. And it came off easily. I would have liked to use 99% alcohol, but the highest concentration I can find in local Walgreens is 91%. Actually the front lens element was still stuck with the mount, so I did not dare to use any other chemical that might leave residue and impact the glass and coating. Many years ago when I tried to unstuck the Agfa front focus lens, I used hair dryer. Which also worked well, but need to be careful and using oven mittens etc.
  10. Hi photo.net used to be able to show photos with BBC code from Flickr, but after recent upgrade (less than a year ago) this function is no longer working. Very occasionally when I reply to a thread, some flickr link will automatically load the image. But most of the time, it does not work. It is quite tedious to copy paste the image link using the upload with url function, and wasting my quota if I upload the image file directly. Do you have any success in posting an image from flickr with just the link? Thanks A life-time photo.net community member since Philip Greenspan days
  11. All the early Ikoflex's I used have the red window at the bottom, next to the tripod socket. I guess they cannot use the 6x6 numbers because that means the tripod socket will be off center? And I guess the designer probably did not want the red window in the back (and pin hole through pressure plate). I never had the last models such as Favorit, which might have changed the red window dependency.
  12. @Jon Eckman Hi Jon, really enjoyed your Diana+ photos. Lots of creativity!
  13. Even Mint is making a new compact 35mm camera. I guess like the new Pentax, both are rangefinder type of compact 35mm film camera. Both seem to have manual film advance. Mint has auto focus, while I'm not so sure about Pentax. Personally I'm more than happy with scale-focus, manual advance compacts from the 70's-90's. But lots of electronics and ribbon-PCB are failing, and the last generation of Fuji are getting pricy. So it is welcoming to have two companies making new 35mm compacts.
  14. A new to me Zeiss Ikon Icarex 35 BM with Carl Zaiss Tessar 50/2.8 lens. It is big and heavy, like its predecessor Bessamatic/Ultramatic series. The viewfinder is not the brightest, but easy to focus. The humble Tessar lens always delivers.
  15. And two color photos from hacked Holga 120 Pan (6x12) with Wollensak EWA 90/12.5 lens. Fujicolor NPZ 800 long expired, developed by Dwayne's. Anza Pump Station Pacifica Arguably the most beautiful Taco Bell restaurant
  16. Two photos from a new-to-me Zeiss Ikon Voigtlander Iacrex 35 BM with CZ Tessar 50/2.8 lens. The camera name is a mouthful, but the humble Tessar always delivers. Fujicolor C200 developed in Dwayne's.
  17. Size comparison of two small cameras: Adox Adoxette (127 film, 30x40mm frame), Lomo LC-A (135 film, 24x36mm).
  18. @rick_drawbridge I actually like the Kodak 35 RF as well, especially for someone coming from the Medalist. :-) I can see some design lineage there. Also the Anastar on the Kodak 35 RF, like most Ektars/Anastars of that era, is a good lens.
  19. A few frames from Adox Adoxette: an incredibly small camera that produces 16 frames of 3x4cm images. ReraPan 400, developed in F76+ 1+9. The silent and peaceful cascade Water under the bridge Menlo Park Gate
  20. This week I was using the incredibly small Adox Adoxette camera: all metal top-loader for 127 film, producing 16 frames of 3x4cm each.
  21. As promised, some photos from 127 cameras in the lovely Arizona Cactus Garden in Stanford University. This batch is from Baby Rolleiflex 4x4 with Xenar 60/3.5 lens. ReraPan 400 film with medium yellow filter, developed in F76+ 1+9. I really enjoy using the Baby Rolleiflex. Backlit cactus An unknown path And the fuzzies
  22. A few more color photos from Reno, Nevada. Still Lomo LC-A, but with Kodak Elite Chrome 100 cross-processed in C41. Orange Vistro and blue sky Care for some drinks? Reno's best bet yet
  23. To celebrate the 7th month of the year, I will try out a few 127 cameras for the month of July. From left to right: Sawyer Mark IV (Topcon Primo Jr), adox adoxette, Baby Rolleiflex 4x4.
