  1. Hi Gary, good to know that I'm not alone in the frame counter mechanism for Kodak Reflex II. I will continue to use the red window then.
  2. Thanks Gary and Jason, I will try out the trimmed 120 in the Reflex II. My Reflex II has problem with automatic film advancing, so I have to resort to red window. But it could also be due to the re-rolled 620 (from 120) is not perfectly straight and tight.
  3. A few snapshots from Mo'orea/Tahiti, with a Nikonos III camera and 35/2.5 lens. Film was Reala 100 expired, and home C41 processed. A view to behold A warm bubbly water world
  4. @Ricochetriderthat is a beautiful shot of a beautiful engine! The composition, the helmet, and the people blurred at the back with an ocean view, all enhanced the main subject. The 250mm Sonnar was legendary for NASA missions, and today they are the most affordable lenses for Hasselblad V. I'm tempted...
  5. I did get some decent color slides out of the Kodak Reflex. But some photos are not sharp, probably due to camera shake. I'm not used to the side-way shutter release which is combined with shutter tensioning.
  6. @mjferrona beautiful tree! great to see some large format photos.
  7. If the photo.net community is decreasing, one radical proposal might be to merge with photrio (which itself was the merge of three forums, but mostly APUG). Thus we will have enough membership for at least one big community. Photrio has similar forum format, and the developers seem to be quite active and competent to keep the site refreshed and updated regularly.
  8. @NHSNHi Niels, that is a very handsome IIIg and fitting Summaron!
  9. Hi Gary @gary greenI'm also quite impressed with the tonality of your waterfall photos. There is the pure white and pure black, lots of fine details in the rocks that kind of glows, and all without the muddy grey.
  10. A few photos of classic manual cameras. Linhof Tech V, Schneider Xenar 150/4.5 lens, Graflex GH-50 back, Agfa Aviphot Aero 200 70mm film, souped in F76+ 1+9. Kiev 4 with Jupiter 8M lens - Linhof_Xenar150f45_Aviphot_016 by Zheng, on Flickr Voigtlander Prominent with Skoparon 35/3.5 lens - Linhof_Xenar150f45_Aviphot_008 by Zheng, on Flickr Ikoflex Ia TLR with Novar 75/3.5 lens - Linhof_Xenar150f45_Aviphot_002 by Zheng, on Flickr
  11. I recently got an Ikophot and was quite happily surprised to find it so small, even compared to the compact Sekonic L-308S. And the classic looking Ikophot is still working and accurate, within 1/5 stop of the Sekonic. I guess I will be using it more with the CMCs.
  12. @gary greenthe compact Chinon Bellami is punching well above its weight. I'm glad these less "cult" compact cameras are getting the proper attention and appreciation.
  13. Another stormy weather at the pier photo from another roll of Ilford Pan F+, Fujica G690BL and 100/3.5 lens. Developer: F76+, 1+9. Calm before the storm
  14. Early spring at the Japanese Garden, with Leica R5 and Elmarit-R 60/2.8 macro lens. Kodak Tri-X 400 developed in F76+ 1+9. Very early blossom of plum flower Ying and Yang of moon shaped window Just read today's newspaper at the tea house
  15. Thanks Rick @rick_drawbridge. Now the weather all cleared up, but I might start to complain of less dramatic photo opportunities... I like the rendering of crystal (both transparency and light) on the HP5+. How do you like Delta 400 versus HP5+, in terms of tonality?
  16. For the 16th, Storm brewing at the pier (Oyster Point, near San Francisco airport). We had almost 3 weeks of relentless heavy rain, gusty wind, hail, flooding, and all sorts of wet and wild stuff here in California since Christmas. Camera was Fujica G690 BL with 100/3.5 lens. Ilford Pan F+ 50, developed in Rodinal 1+50 11min@68F.
  17. This weekend I'm using the he Texas Leica, the brute, and the big beautiful Fujica G690 BL with the Fujinon 100mm f/3.5 lens. The earlier 100mm lens is a Tessar formula, as opposed to Plasmat of newer 90mm lenses for the GW690 series. Each has its own appeal.
  18. Two more from rainy days. This time Leica R5, Elmarit-R 60/2.8. Ilford FP4+, Clayton F76+ 1+9. Only time can tell if the Terrarium will survive Soft ribbon on a fairy night light
  19. Due to the rain, storm, hail and flood here in California, I only did some indoor shots this week. Trying out Hasselblad 553ELX, Zeiss Sonnar 150/4 lens with Nikon 5T closeup lens, Arista EDU 100 film, F76+ 1+9. X'mas tree ornament #10 X'mas tree ornament #6
  20. Finally got some slides processed for the amphibian Nikonos III camera with Nikkor 35/2.5 lens. All from Tahiti, French Polynesia. Film was expired Velvia 50, home processed in Tetenal E6 kit. Papeete mural From Tahiti with love Polynesian hut
  21. Interesting write up Gary! Hope the Xenon lens still produce good results, despite the ergonomics? I guess there was a time there were no product managers, just engineers and sales/marketing persons. I have a feeling Voigtlander cameras is definitely in that category as your Weltini.
  22. @Mike GammillHi Mike, thanks for the nice light painting photo to kickstart 2023 edition of this nice tradition! I still need to process the film from my recent vacation, and hope to add some photos in the coming days.
  23. @rick_drawbridgeHi Rick, I like the low angle of light and possibly a bit of mist in the background, both of which accentuates a bit of loneliness for the empty chairs at the station. Nice start of the new year!
  24. Nikon F801S was my first auto focus camera (if we discount the P&S). It was heavy and loud, but quite advanced for its time. I did use it spotmeter function once in a while, as well as the little programmability to leave the film leader out after auto rewinding. Went to Iceland with me, and survived well.
