  1. My indoor kitchen ware photos during a rainy day. Linhof Tech V, Xenar 150/4.5, TXP 320. F76+, 1+9. Alessi alien juicer and bunny toothpick dispenser Atlas pasta machine
  2. For this set from a local farm, I used the very compact yet quite competent Nikon EM paired with 50/1.8 Series-E. Fujicolor C200 home processed with Bellini C41 kit. In my youth, I kinda look down on the Fujicolor C200 as mediocre consumer film. But I guess my lackluster reaction then was because of the so-so quality from corner mini-labs. Now that I develop my own C41 film an scan with good scanner (Nikon Coolscan V ED), I feel the film has a very nice quality and color palette. So I will definitely use more of this film. Bird cages Warm colors Grape leaf in fall
  3. Really interesting stories about those little Retinas @gary green and @Niels - NHSN. I guess they were chosen for their size/weight to quality ratio. It must have been some quite punishing conditions up there in the mountains. I too have two slightly later Retinas with American made Ektars, and both are still running like new after so many years (after CLA).
  4. A few color 4x5 sheets from the same outing with Tachihara and Ektar 203/7.7. Expired Kodak Portra 400NC, Bellini C41 home processed. Color sheet film has become so expensive that I just enjoy the remaining expired stash until it runs out.
  5. Rerapan 100 is no longer available since mid-2023, which is a pity since I liked that film. Rerapan 400 is reasonably priced and still available. But other than, I guess you have to slice it yourself. This works with some 127 cameras that do not rely on red window for every frame.
  6. A few 4x5 shots from my first outing with the lightweight "hiking" combo: Tachihara 4x5 wooden field camera, Kodak Ektar 203/7.7 lens, Grafmatic film holders, and a small Manfrotto tripod. Film was gently expired Kodak TXP 320, developed in F76+ 1+9 in a Paterson tank with Mod54 reel. Practicing my tilt and swing skills. Ferry terminal Between rocks and pier High tide
  7. I owned the Yashica 44LM for a short period, which was my first "proper" 127 camera. Really liked its performance. Plus it could be non-destructively modified to accept 135 film as well.
  8. Tachihara 4x5 at the Oyster Point ferry terminal - photos in the weekly.
  9. Nikon F4 with the Nikkor 50/1.2 Ai-S. I have never owned F4 (or F5 and F6), and was surprised how little money it costs these days. It is very heavy, and almost made the larger Canon T90 like on diet. And the stock screen is not the easiest to manual focus. I believe I need to find a type-K screen or an autofocus lens.
  10. Same ranch, same time, different film Kodak Ektar 100 shot on Hasselblad 500C with Planar 80/2.8 lens. The red barn The ranch house Fallen leaves on bench (I need to replace the light seals on the A12 back)
  11. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Just finished the feast, so post a few photos before dozing off. Recently I tried a new kind of color film, Kodak Aerocolor 2460, re-spooled into 120 rolls by Reflx Labs. Hasselblad 500C, Planar 80/2.8, Bellini C41 home processed. Spider webs on old barn Fallen leaves on wooden bench Blue drinking fountain
  12. Hi @gary green, nice first 127 camera. I have to admit some of them are incurably cute. If after you finishing your Rerapan test rolls and still in love with the format, I might be able to find a spare 120->127 slicing kit (made by Camerhack in Italy) that you can have it for free.
  13. Just got this Tachihara 4x5 from Japan, so I have no excuse not to carry a 4x5 camera to the hills. At 1461 grams, it is almost feather weight in terms of 4x5 cameras.
  14. Two more B&W from Devil's Slide near Pacifica, California. Hasselblad SWC/M, Biogon 38/4.5 lens, Ilford FP4+ in Adox FX-39 II. Devil's Slide in B&W Devil's bunker in B&W
  15. Hi Rick, very interesting cameras. I guess both the Seagull and Peafowl are Minolta SR mount copies? Are the cameras reasonably reliable?
  16. In subdued light, the backing paper should prevent any light leak even without red window. At least that was my experience.
  17. Maybe take the Nikonos to a rainy day, or the beach? At least treat it with some splashes, sand and mud?
  18. A new-to-me vintage lens, Goerz Berlin Dagor 180/6.8, is probably more than 100 years old. I heard a lot about Dagors and this is my very first one. I got it seated in a Linhof branded Synchro Compur #1 shutter, and it looks nice on the Linhof Tech V. I took a few sheets and shared on the weekly. I'm liking the look of the images.
  19. In the fine tradition of @Mike Gammill and celebrating that our admin fixed the website, we shall have another week of photo sharing. Here are a few photos of classic cameras, taken by a new-to-me 100+ year old classic lens. Linhof Tech V, Dagor 180/6.8, Kodak TXP 320, F76+ 1+9. Voigtlander Superb TLR Semflex Semi-Oto Rolleicord V
  20. Thank you web admin, happy to see the site back!
  21. Dear owner of photo.net, If you are not interested in running this website anymore, would you consider let photrio.com to manage it? I can connect you with their system admin Sean, who is passionate and competent about photography forums. I joined photo.net since the very beginning with Philip Greenspan. Even though the community here is quite small today and there were occasional spam photo issues, this site still holds a large wealth of photographical knowledge contributed by members over the years. It will be a waste to let it languish like this. Please do consider. On the other hand, if you decide to fix the certificate issue and keep running photo.net that will be totally sweet too. Thank you!
  22. It shouldn't. It just needs the system admin to update the certificate.
  23. photo.net is still blocked by most browsers due to its SSL certificate expiration. I have to use Safari and accept it is a "dangerous" site. So I hope the web master and developers of this website is working on it? Or their browser will block their own access as well? 😅
  24. That Leica IA is a nice piece of history, with properly patina to match!
  25. Devil's Slide and Devil's Bunker, near Pacifica California. This is the typical Northern California seascape, that you often see in Apple's MacOS background images such as "Big Sur". Hasselblad SWC/M, Ektar 100, Bellini C41 home processed. Devil's bunker Road to the bunker along the slide The typical NorCal coast
