  1. Take a look at the Sinar F with bag bellows!

    http://www.keh.com/shop/class.cfm?bid=LF&sid=newused&crid=10943695

its hard to believe the class would require all the students to go out and buy a 4 by 5. What school does this ????

kind of like a driving school wanting all the students to go out and buy a mack truck, ferrari, volkswagon, cadillac, chevrolet...

What are your requirements for this class?

what are they trying to teach? objectives?

  2. Mark, you didn't mention the 2 lenses that are for copying 8 and 16mm movie film single frames, which is put on the front of a bellows. For copying single frames of the old movies that were taken by everyone in the early 60's.

The grid screens come up every so often, then again, you could send a plain screen to one of the aftermarket companies that make the brite screens for the medium format like Beattie, or Maxwell and have them modify a screen for you.

The 20 and 35mm macro lenses ,also for bellows mount are really cool but it took years to latch onto these.

  3. What some people will do to set their old gear aside and buy an F1N!!!

You said this was one of the miniature screws but is there any room under the head to stick a pin or needle to use as a prybar while backing the screw out?

If the previous things don't work, you could always find a good TIG welder, like around an airport or good machine shop and have them TIG weld a small diameter rod to the end of the screw using a very small Tungsten electrode (.020 dia) which is a special order tungsten , fortunately not expensive, and the collet and collet body to match... Try all the options listed above before you go to this trouble..or shelve it and buy the F1N that you've always dreamed about!

  4. WOW, Its a SHAYme to hear this shocking story! You must have purchased the GREY market version as they were shipped without the neoprene with kevlar weave booties and mittens that are known insulators for this safety precaution. On the upside, though, you won't need to order your viagra for the next two months...
  5. if you just had a few, i'd say to go to a pawn shop and buy a stock of used clubs for about 2 bucks apiece, cut them down with a chop saw, install some new cut down grips and have them TIG welded into a frame, or welded to a fabricated metal frame, an easy task but not for the number that you want to do.

The clubs could possibly be positioned so that the hitting part of the clubs keep the frame upright instead of the usual thing on the back of frames.

  6. Howdy friends,

After my call to their corporate yesterday, i received a call back within the hour. I couldn't believe it! I thought it was a dream.

The young woman in New York Canon corporate offices listened to the complaint and said that Canon is well aware of the problem and is working on it at this very moment. Whether thats fact is for you to decide...

She asked if I would fax a copy of all the documentation to her and she would make things happen. Now, its up to me to do this today!

Decisions, decisions, what type of Merlot or Boujoulis do I want to buy with the freakin rebate!

I asked her if she would help a few other photo friends with the same type of complaint and she indicated she would. I didn't say a few thousand...

Damn, she will have job security with this one!

I'll post her numbers and fax info later when I get my paperwork turned in, before she quits or jumps over to Nikon...
