I like the color and movement of the water, but I'm not fond of the context. This is a difficult scene to expose (I would have trouble, that's for sure). I live in a dry environment and am familiar with brown, lifeless looking trees, and over-cast dreary skies. You minimized the sky well, but to add interest to it, and the trees I would have tried some filtration, at least a polarizer. I don't know your work well enough to know your feelings on 'going all natural' though. What do you think?

I love it!!!! How can a car sitting still be moving so fast?!?!?!? Your ability to use contrast continues to astound me.

Some may have seen this already- a request was made for a smaller
viewing file and I am more than happy to ablige. For new viewers, any
comment is appreciated.

Thanks guys- I agree with Doug- the bus-type thing in the foreground is not ideal, but it also wasn't mobile. I think from the comments that this shot looks better on my screen, (set up through Photoshop 5.5) because the foreground is too dark to even really see the bus, and the people are less of a distraction. I've been told my screen looks dark by others, but I've calibrated it twice to the same effect- I gotta figure this thing out....

Thoughts anyone? I know sunset shots are tough....

I appreciate any input. I thought it added a bit of interest and 'motion' having that bit of net trail out of the corner. I guess the little float is a bit distracting though. Thanks again.

I love the blue. Great contrast and drama.

Nice color and texture. I love the perspective. The bright white sky on the right seems to grab my eye though, and I'm sure that's not what you were inteding. Truly beautiful scene.

I'm seeing alot I like in this photo- dramatic clouds and lighting, good balance between land and sky, and nice texture. Unfortunately the dramatic cloud cover has led to quite a dark photo. I don't know how it could be remedied though (I'm still learning myself...)- probably through filtration.

Beautifully done- The subject is balanced in an attractive manner, and lit nicely to take the ordinary to extra-ordinary. Isolating against the black background adds to your effectiveness.

The vantage point is just right to add interesting depth to this piece, rather than chaos. The patterns, colors and textures are beautifully reproduced with clarity. A5/O5

This was taken at a small fishing port on Santorini, Greece. The
buildings on the islands are often stark white, with a vibrant color
contrast on doors, windows, etc. This fence with matching net really
caught my eye. I increased contrast slightly in Photoshop, but
otherwise the picture is unmanipulated. I'm not sure what to even
categorize this one as....
