" Specially I like this haze that is often created during the heavy rain. "
You do realize that this is Photoshop rain and not actual rain, right? Not to disrespect the artist or this image, but don't be fooled. This is a created image and not a captured exposure. Nothing wrong with that and I will add that I like it. I do agree with Walter though. The artist should consider being a bit more forthright with how this was created, especially since there are people lead to believe that this is all real.

"Starvy Goodfellows , October 14, 2008; 04:11 A.M.lovely tones, the best use of hdr by miles. you seem to have really caputured the mood of winter rain here and how bleak life can be.
This is NOT HDR. It does have good tonal range but it's not HDR. I really do like the image. In my opinion, it could do without the post processing rain or weathered effect.

Wow. It's amazing that you were able to keep the head semi sharp. Excellent work. Thanks for the info.

Kah, at the risk of sounding rude, if your images are that precious to you and you don't want them misused, perhaps you shouldn't upload them. Really, what's the worst thing that could happen with an image at 72dpi / 640? So they get uploaded to another site without your approval. Nobody else is going to profit off of these small images. In my humble opinion, your watermark destroys the beauty of your images and makes you look arrogant. The whole point of uploading our photos to the web is to share our passion, not to share our initials.

Your technique and probably a bit of luck certainly paid off here. Excellent capture. May I ask what your shutter speed was here?

I don't think anyone is above the point where feedback isn't necessary as Kurt as eluded. Not sure if he was serious or just being facetious. Having said that, I find John's edited version almost laughable. It looks like an Elvis oil painting. The greens aren't going to look hyper nuclear in soft low light.
My only feedback would be to improve the composition. I feel that the composition would be greatly improved by aiming more to the right and more towards the bottom. More to the right to capture all of the tree that seems to be cut off and more towards the bottom to include more of the interesting foreground. It would also eliminate some of the splotchy grays that are in the upper left side.

Dave, looks like we were at the same place. My wife and I want to move there too.

Nice capture but I think you need to do a better job of masking. There's a halo all around this bird.

It's a decent macro shot with a nice colorful bg. Sorry, but I'm not buying the dew story. I immidiately thought this bug was sprayed and after viewing the rest of his Peter's macro portfolio, I'm convinced it's more than just dew. I'm not against spraying a bug to get a more intriguing shot, just think it's a little over done here.
