Thank you Cherene - We are in Iowa so there are not many wheat fields - normally we are surrounded by corn but this field was near our photo shoot location so I had to take advantage of it and we did our last few shots of the sitting here. I am glad we did as they are some of my favorites.

Thank you Tina - He was so much fun to photograph. Sometimes I struggle with newborns but this little guy let me do whatever I wanted to with him so I had a blast.

Thank you Kasey. I am photographing a newborn girl this week and have a "girly" cocoon that I'll be using so check my page the end of next week. The babies love the cocoon since they keep them nice and warm and snug. He was very easy to photograph in it.

Beautiful!!! I love it and will be adding to my favorite shot folder! I love the clarity of her eye, the soft border and touches of pink. I do notice a little white line above her arm but that is very minor.

One of my baby cocoons that I am starting to make and hopefully sell

to other photographers. If anyone is interested in a cocoon just email

    me.

I would also love to hear any thoughts on the photo as I need to use

    some for advertising. Thanks!

Thank you everyone for your comments. She was crawling away from me so I worried a little about her diagonal position but she peeked over her shoulder just enough to light her whole face so I think I got lucky:)

Beautiful lighting Tammy! - It is amazing how much your photography has evolved from a few years ago and very impressive as well. Do you have your own studio yet?

Thank you Jorge and Hal for commenting. His eyes demanded me to put him in my blue bucket and the result seemed to have worked.

Thanks Jerry for your feedback. I appreciate it. I actually wasn't going for a smile since he is only about 8 weeks old so just getting eye contact at this age without a squished up face or crossed eyes is an achievement. The grey you are referring to is my seamless backdrop and the baby is laying on the beanbag. I also don't mind the background changes since they match his outfit. I have attached a photo that would be more your style from the shot but I have to say that the softness and expression of my original submission is still my favorite. Thanks again though for taking the time to analyze my photo and give me your point of view.

This is from one of my favorite infant sessions. He is a two month old

and did so well at making eye contact with me.
