Nice concept! I love it when people don't feel the need to stoop to posting nudes (SO original) to get views and critiques on here! Here's to using your brain!! Nice work.... 6/6

I love this dude! He is completely festooned with jewelry, but that ring finger is bare.... This
guy doesn't let anyone tie him down! One of my favorite photos.

I swear I've seen this somewhere before.... the guy pre-broke the bulb, left the filament intact, lit, triggered the bulb, and grabbed the shot... I like how you took the concept a step further!
Is it photoshopped?
I love the Man Ray where he puts honey on the bulb, waits until it is covered in flies, turns it on and takes the pic... classic!! Cheers!

Joseph: It's 'street' photography, I am sure you can find plenty of endless discussion, forums, and views concerning ethics and protocol around this type of photography, so I won't waste space here debating or reasoning with you. Street photography has become my latest casual interest, thank you.

I can't believe no one has commented, or rated this pic!!! Really, what is the deal with this site??
I would hesitate to even take ratings or comments seriously after the millionth great shot like this gets ignored, and someone's macro flash shots of daffodils get fawned over! I think people pick favorites on this site.... or do a lot of brown-nosing! Yeesh! This is a GREAT SHOT!!! Beautifully framed, great action shot! Keep it up! 6/6

Geez... too much time on my hands Jan!!! 2:11 here! I don't know if colour would have worked for me here, as it was very low light, and I was shooting without a meter..... I have had a very marginal success rate with colour so far, so that is defenitely an avenue I should explore....
P.S. I still haven't been back to see these guys, but when I do go back, I will be sure to take some ektachrome, and Velvia with me! Nice to hear from you again Jan, I hope things are well. Harv

Jan, the mask the dancer is wearing is called the Grouse..... hence: 'River Grouse" I wasn't very creative with the title, a bit misleading, I suppose..

the fringe at the bottom mucks things up a bit, but the last thing you want to do is behead that reflection..... that would be just plain mean.

Subject, composition, mood!! I love the comments about hating bird photos!!! These guys never complain about nudes though, do they?? I like this photo for what it is. good work! You took a great photo, uncontrived, unplanned, and unmanipulated (ive) cheers!!

A bit more original, I think than the typical, tasteless T&A "artistic" nudes of women that we usually see on here!! Congrats for actually using your big head to take an artistic photo!!! I especially like the subtle work you have done on the reflection in the eyes! Too bad you couldn't put brests on her cheek, I am sure a lot more people would actually stop and have a look! lol!!! Very nice work!

I love this stuff!!! I have been trying to do this kind of thing with film lately...... needles to say, no luck thus far! great portfolio!!!

I was looking in the details.... who gives this a 3 for esthetics and a 3 for originality?? Who???? I find it very esthetically pleasing, and as for originality, sure , it's not a photo of a guy hanging himself, or a spaceship landing, but you don't see this type of landscape in my parts! Bravo! and thanks for sharing!!!
I don't think low ratings should be allowed on this site unless they are accompanied by a critique, or at least some advice/opinion. nice portfolio! I envy you , having such a beautiful country to shoot in...

I was run and gun, this is the sharpest I could get handheld wide open at 1/10th of a sec! But yes, time, and a tripod would have been nice here!
Thank you.
