I rate this a 6/6... I should give you a 7/7 to offset the inevitable, and dreaded anonymous 3/3 that all of the fine images I have seen here seem to get! I love the composition, and tones.... some my call this underexposed... I think what you did here is brilliant.. keep it up!

An interesting composition, and well executed capture, but maybe if there was a little more 'breathing' room, this would work a little better? The subjects seem crammed into the frame... this would look great frmed to the left, cassic rule of thirds, in a panoramic or 16:9 crop.! Niceley captured 'decicive' moment though!

I know this place... very well! I had the opportunity to shoot ceremonies and dances inside, with the clan cheif and two of his apprentices, I will have to put them up soon... I noticed a fellow with a Hassy and monopod, and a leica around his neck outside. may have been you? Thanks for the memories!

John, I wouldn't really worry about other people's ratings, If you want top ratings, and tons of comments post nudes! Kidding aside, I am really hung up on night street shooting myself, handheld, and I think the warm coloration that tungsten lighting provides really sets a mood for colour film. I think the whole ratings system is a sham, A low rating should always be accompanied by a comment...... but they rarely are, this should simply tell you the person rating you lowly doesn't have an articulate reason to do so, therefore the rating is moot... this is a forum, not a competition, after all... The one accessory one should not be without when shooting handheld at 1/10th or slower is Tom Abrahamsson's soft release button, ... check his site out sometime, cheers, and that is a great photo. What a great photo, and a wonderful moment! Cheers. I can't believe that no one has commented on this one!! probably 800 views, 20 ratings... no comments!! So it goes. A jarring image, i love it.

I love how still, and similar in mood the people leaning against the rails are, while the
movements of life commence about them. This is at International arrivals

Last One in this series had 1070 views, 12 ratings (thanks) and not
one single critique.... anyone?... anyone at all?

I love the framing, converging tracks..... Black and White lends itself so eloquently to these kind of scenes......... one gets the feeling the railcars are 'conspiring' together..... wonderful shot!
-
Very nice Light! Great , massive d.o.f. as well........ I see you have the same problem I often do, that tilting horizon! I think you could have given us a little more foreground i this one, let us see the whole fountain, just my humble opinion, thanks for the great pic, Sebastian!
