  1. Roberto ... my opinion (for whatever it's worth) is that this would be an awesome image if the head, neck and body of the bird were in better focus. Also, maybe a little shorter exposure time so the wings weren't so blurred. Hard shot to get.

So there really is life on Mars! Well, maybe not ... the tree appears to be dead. If there ever was life on Mars, this is how I would visualize the end of life there. Most certainly, I feel desolation and loneliness. And maybe desperation if the tree is still clinging to life.

I like the detail and the action in this photo. It makes me laugh, and I hear that's a good thing. Overall ... superb photo. I agree with Dylan regarding the crop. Experiment a little to see if you like an alternative crop. Here is just an idea:

Gordon ... congratulations! I see this as being a daisy frozen in a block of ice that has begun to thaw. The deep blue of the ice, the daisy frozen in time. I'm sure freezes come hard and fast in your neck of the woods. The colors are amazing and the focus, in my opinion, is just right. Perhaps it's the colors, but I get a peaceful feeling viewing this image.

I love this! The poor bear gets his/her nose tweaked, eye nearly pecked out ... and then in the last frame gives a gentle kiss to the bird. True friends! Well done and I'll most likely be smiling the remainder of the day thinking about this photo. I'm not really playing the rating game anymore, but for you ... 7/7 ... this has made my day. Very precious.

    Thanks ... I needed the laugh. :-)

The anonymous 3/3 raters are the scourge of PN. I've seen 7/7 ratings removed, but I don't recall ever seeing an anonymous 3/3 removed. Go figure.

"Spiderman, spiderman ... does whatever a spider can." Interesting perspective ... it actually makes me feel a little disoriented, but then, walking upright makes me feel disoriented too. It looks slightly unsharp, but nice nonetheless.

Gordon ... this just might be the best of the series. Not to copy your work, but I think I'll start my own experiments with this. I guess "imitation is the highest form of flattery".
