I have to agree with Andrew. I first thought it was a shot of the world from space, too. Excellent! J

I like your decision to pose them in this fashion. It is fun, yet formal at the same time. J

Thanks Dave. You are right, the skin is reddish. I took them with film, and the first prints I received were a tad dark and off colored. I've since had them reprinted and they look so much better. This scan was from the first batch. Oh, and they are sisters. Believe it or not, they are my two little sisters (a bit of an age gap in our family). The older one looks just like I did at that age. Thanks again for the comments.

You have many wonderful photographs in your portfolio, but this has to be my absolute favorite. You have captured this child's personality exceptionally well just by the tones and focus on the eye. Beautifully done!

You have taken some remarkable photographs of Auschwitz. Knowing that this one was taken there, in my mind, makes it the most powerful of your collection. Your use of DOF combined with the spider's web surrounding the barbed wire truly make a statement about the history of Auschwitz. Well done.

Alex blessed our lives for 16 wonderful days. This photo is one of three I have posted to
PN that was taken on the first day, just hours after birth. Thank you for your critique. J

Alex blessed our lives for 16 wonderful days. This photo is one of three I have posted to
PN that was taken on the first day, just hours after birth. I quite enjoy the composition,
however the actual photo is quite grainy (as you can see in this scan) which detracts from
its beauty. I took it using 3200 TMax film in a very dimly lit room, the NIC-U (which also
prevented me from using a flash). I would appreciate any comments you might give,
including how to shoot in a similar situation without the extremely grainy outcome. Thank
you. J

Thanks for your critique. You have quite a talent for beautifully photographing architecture, objects and people. I most enjoy this one.
