  1. Larry, it's only for the latest Sony higher end cameras, sorry.
  2. You nailed the exposure, and those trees out in the water with the receding rocks are gorgeous. Too bad you didn't have a way to go out into the water to frame it up without the shore tree on the left, which really detracts from the composition for me.
  3. Sky is too blown out for me.
  4. Looks like you blurred the background in post but the edges around the figure look like Christmas tree lights. At first I thought it was kind of cute, but after a couple seconds viewing it doesn't work for me.
  5. I just loaded the Smooth Reflections app onto my a7r II after reading about it on Fred Miranda. Works a charm as a ND filter smoothing off movement by combining many exposures into one RAW. The files don't record the number of exposures, so I don't remember what this was - 16 I think was my preferred number for this effect. I only have a 10X ND for my 55mm, so this was a great cheap way to add it for my 14mm and 70-200mm.
  6. I've been shooting this plant for years and prefer black and white conversions that bring out the contrast in the edges and forms.
  7. Nicely done. Rocks and clouds frame the sea stack well. I might try a crop to lose the brightest sun on the left.
  8. I don't do a lot of street photography, but the Kensington Market area of Toronto is fantastic for that. These boys found a great place to play outside their family book store on a showery day.

    Tone Poem 6

Very abstract yet concrete. I like it!
  10. Foggy cool day was perfect for a casual hike on the Downy Creek trail in Washington's North Cascades.

  12. Thanks for the larger version. The falling snow takes it to the next level.
  13. My buddy Jeff drops into the north face of Del Campo peak in Washington's Cascade mountains on a day of spring back-country skiing.
  14. You nailed the light and composition in my opinion. I much prefer your version to Charles. The dark mountains in the background are an important counterpoint to the glowing lines in the rock and transition to the pink sky. I also feel the amount of sky you have here is just right.
  15. It is a bit too much for me.
  16. Thanks Pierre, it's a beautiful place.
  17. Panorama taken with my RX100 after a great dinner with friends at Anthony's Homeport in Everett WA. - this view is one of the big attractions of the restaraunt.

    Untitled

I'm surprised to be the first to comment on this one. Very well done - at first it looks a bit over exposed, with the glow around the dark branches, but then I realized that is a coating of snow. Very abstract.
