best shot in getting finally some success in Miss

Universe stampede since the days of Anne Pohtamo.

nothing much to add here. First I thought I might lament about the lonely

grass in the lower left corner... or the stray hair. However, somehow

they just add to the lovely image. A book example of foreground/background

separation, with a very good pose from the ah-so-cute model!

Statuesque Tiina in a carpark concrete bunker. Shot

with Canon 5D & 300/2.8 using a bunch of Canon 550 and

420EXs for lighting. Comments appreciated.

shooting lying people must be the most arduous

task in photography... no matter what you do,

the view is distorted and the model looks just

plain weird. But not here... not at least too much.

Simply wonderful photo!!

I like it a lot. It is not easy to light such a difficult space

evenly, but you did a superb job. Given that it is a high position

wide angle shot, the model must have the longest legs on this

planet, or you stretched the canvas in PS or something... You could

very well find such shots in fashion fanzines...

This was a hard one! It was almost impossible to get the dark

tones right in the 8 bit jpeg compression. With 16 or 32 bit

formats, no problems whatsoever. Comments appreciated.

I was near Helsinki International airport that is still very much

outskirts of Helsinki at its northern edges, with almost rural

landscape. I tried to compose the picture with two elemements -

graphical electrical power poles and harsh, stormy sky. Comments,

pls.

Steve: Miss Universe was already held in Mexico for this year, and

this time we missed it. But it is pretty safe to say that if Noora

so wishes she will have a bright future in the modeling scene...

This is a promo material for Miss Finland 2007 (Noora

Hautakangas). Misses need bikini shots for promo

purposes. Fashion and portrait wise, they are a pain

as they very very easily turn women "from subjects into

objects". So we tried something else here... how do you

find it?
