a beautyful photo that will bring her back a lot of happy memories when she is older. Lovely hi key feeling. And the cat looks just like mine in the early 1980s.

Thanks for the comments, Alexander. The post processing was actually pretty minimal; what creates the soft look is the motion blur of the model combined by the freezing of the flash.

I like this a lot. Here the model is like a lizard, definitely something with a will of its own... and it might bite or claw back, too :-) I like the diagonal pose relative

to the waterline and the intense look in her eyes, and the warm ambience reminding of warm summer days. Not easy to shoot

tasteful bikini shots without falling to the prey of cheap sleeze or cliches. This one got it made.

Nice down to earth pinup. Your quitessential Swedish blonde look in a Nordic

lakeside setting. Walks a fine line of making the model an object instead of a subject but, in my opinion, because of vibrance and earnest smile, does not flop.

I finally had a chance to go through some of the old folders in my hard

drive. I twisted and turned this one. How do you reckon?

Simple, quality portrait. The styling of the model looks a bit second hand, but it matches well from the color tonal point of view. Sad, stunning eyes!

Lately you have had excellent shots with monotonous styling

of clothes combined with nice backgrounds that match perfectly the skin and hair tones of your models. This is one of those shots. Nice vibrant upbeat model, too!

nice interplay of color of the skin and hair, and the greyness of the dress and background. Somehow the composition is a bit "tight"... is the picture too tall? Nevertheless, compliments to your strong effort in creating this interesting picture.

Thanks for your nice comments! When viewing the photo after one week of not seeing it, I realise I would have done the sharpening a bit differently. With this kind of a model, arriving in a nice result is really a cakewalk :-)
  1. Interesting and unusual angle. Nice, strange color harmony. And a model that looks comfortable being photographed. Some hints: the shirt is way too black in the front (it is totally black with no detlais), and the left

hand is truncated at the wrist which is a bit of an "ouch" in light of the "rules"

of portraiture (never cut your subject at the joints, only midway)

I think the photo has a lovey painting like characteristic owing to the strange way it is light. Good match between the foreground and barely visible background.

Hi there and thanks for your your comments. In regards to the

sharpness, the photo was taken with about 1/4 sec and used the

freeze effect of the flash unit (the long expo created the "flaming"

background, though). Try to view it larger, too.

I like the lighting in this picture. The model is a bit too much of an object

instead of a subject for my taste. Fashion and lowkey are a difficult

    genre.

good lighting and facial expression. The hands of the model

are a bit ackward. What bothers me in many of your recent photos

is that the background consists of two parts, usually light sky/couldscape,

and darker foliage/ground. It makes the background pretty stark and restless, taking away well deserved focus from your models. Well, just an idea

    to consider ;-)
