stay away from adolph gasser's.

fuji neopan 400

-

try using the program Vuescan. i'm not familiar with the epson scan software but Vuescan is usually much better than the scanning software that manufacturers include with their hardware

this is one of my all time favorite films. i honestly thought kodak had stopped making it because i never see it anywhere anymore. i liked it more than 400 UC and i thought i remember looking at the specs for both films and HD had a touch more resolution. it has less contrast than UC did. skies (blues, greens) look really good on HD.

unfortunately i've been very disappointing in the quality of 110 processing from dwaynes. lots of scratches, dust, out of focus, and most importantly badly cropped prints (almost like they're using the wrong mask?)
i'd suggest sending it elsewhere.

elite chrome 100 extra color
it's almost cartoonish.
oh and yeah processed in normal e-6
-
that's not a temperature, that's the film speed in a logarithmic format. 33° = 1600.
you want to develop your film at 20 degrees C/68 degrees F.
-
yeah i use the powdered kodak fixer all the time and i never dilute it
-
photo-flo residue
-
i've done plus-x at 250 in hc-110 and it works very well. i don't think i'd go beyond that though.
-
thanks... i figured it would either be a short time or a high dilution. i'll try dilution H at 6 minutes.
-
i can't find a time for this on the dev chart or on here. i know it's probably not the best combination but it's
what i have... any guesses?

NEWLAB in sf is good, especially for E6, but they recently raised prices and cut back on pickups/deliveries. looking at their prices right now they are 4$ for a sheet and 6$ for a roll of 120
-
i mask the flash on these (captiva) with black electrical tape.
-
hp5+ pushed to 1600 in hc-110 looks fantastic.
-
well i think they look great. i love black skies.

noooo! instax mini is polaroid mio film. the mio camera was on the market for, i believe, a few months (heh.)
it's my secret weapon. the film is absolutely incredible, everyone that sees it can't believe it's a polaroid-- it's incredibly sharp and super saturated, but the colors are still just a little...different, which makes it a polaroid. also no one has ever heard of the mio.
i order my film from hong kong, for about $6 a pack (including shipping.) cheaper than any polaroid film i used to buy in stores here in the states.
but you are right, they are not high quality cameras like an sx-70, but the quality i get from the cruddy(?) plastic lens on the mio is relatively amazing...

669 is the only film that should be used in that camera

thanks for all the responses! i guess i'll try the bulbs at 1/30th. although that's pretty slow unfortunately.
i have plenty of film, i bought a few bricks from a local store's going out of business sale and have them in the freezer. they also show up on epay pretty regularly, sometimes at a decent price.
-
I want to use flashbulbs with this camera. I have what looks like is a
salesman's flyer here (I don't have the actual manual) and it mentions "built in
shutter synchronization for flash bulbs at 1/30 second, and for electronic flash
at all speeds." What kind of a sync is this? I need an M sync to use bulbs
right? I guess I just assumed because it has a leaf shutter that it has an M
sync, but that language is throwing me off.

go to walgreens, rite-aid, etc, find somewhere that sends film to fuji for processing. put it in that envelope and it will be a few bucks at most. i can't remember how much it was the last time i did it, but it was seriously like 3 or 4 bucks. that's only if its c-41 color though.
-
whenever this has happened to me it's because the rollers are dirty. and yes, there have been times where i thought "there's no way the rollers could be dirty yet" but sure enough, they were.
-
nope! all that stuff is on ebay now. be prepared to pay considerable amounts.
-
i knew this would happen eventually but i really thought they would keep 669 packfilm and 600 integral film around much longer! so, so frustrating.
On a whim I ordered a Fuji instax 200
in Extreme, Retro, Instant and More
