A small Civil War reenactment - this one Abe was played by outstanding Fritz Klein and Ulysses S Grant played by Scott Whitney.
Thanks

It felt like a crime to take away the wonderful cirrus clouds but I
just could not envision this image in bright beautiful colors.

Another shot from Olbrich Gardens in Madison WI. I wanted to have
the foreground very detail but more impressionistic in the back.
-
First I gotta say I'm a total sucker for this style of photography. Very impressionistic and I'm loving it. The ONE tiny thing that bothers me is that it LOOKS like the water is slanting to the right. Probably not but . . .
HOWEVER - this is great and I hope you have in in art fairs and or galleries!

This was taken on the backside of the storm. The final flurry of rain.

This is not excitingly dynamic but more relaxing I feel.
Contemplative perhaps!

Curious about the matting! Comments? Suggestions?

Nice idea Duane but I didn't want it to look that gritty. This is for a display TRYING to make people aware of the Auditorium (again) and I was going for more of a beauty shot. HOWEVER - I do appreciate your look and feel. TY

Too expensive to fix, to beautiful to tear down.

Locked up and closed to the world for 60 years, no heat, no
electricity. The last performance on stage was 1934 before the city
government, who wanted a new high school, condemned the building
before it's time. Now to expensive to renovate for today's standards
and to beautiful to demolish it sits empty and quiet in Columbus
Wisconsin.

It has a certain . . . .. otherness to it!
-
The texture does not come though unless enlarged.

I was looking at some other shots and I seemed to miss this one.

Having tried to shoot these guys I know how hard it is. What's that little critter on the bottom right???
Well done

Struggling with matting ideas but it'll be on canvas if I ever
actually print it.

One of the highest rated photos on photo.net that I have ever seen! Well done HDR! standing applause!

25mph winds were blowing in my face when I snapped off 6 images to
capture this.

I tried playing with vertical straight lines but it just did not look
correct so I left it.

I loved all the angels the entrance-way offered. Worked on getting the
chandeliers so they were not burned out.
Fritz Klein plays Abe

Fritz Klein as a professional Abraham Lincoln impersonator. I wanted
just a wee bit of color for the flag.
