Hi: I have up for sale an Imacon Flextight Precision III scanner. I am going on an expedition and have to sell the majority of my equipment. The scanner functions flawlessly and comes with 6 film holders. 4x5, 6x17, 6x7, 6x6 (double) 35mm panoramic and 35mm. It has a scsi cable and a scsi to firewire cable. I did not use the scsi to firewire cable I opted to use a scsi cable with a scsi card on my G4 mac. I could supply the card if you need it. TheFlexcolor software comes free on the Hasselblad website but I will include a cd with the software for PC and Mac on it. The scanner had the precision II to Precision III upgrade. There is a little damage on the 6x17 film holder but it seems to hold the film fine. I am asking $3500 for it plus $150 for shipping Continental US only. Thanks for looking..Darcy I also have a Youtube video demonstrating the functionality of the scanner here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYkwt2laC6w

<p>"Most of the functions speak for themselves."<br>
Maybe you don't have your ear close enough to the camera. Of course you would probably have to understand Mandarin. ;-)</p>

<p>I am building a 6x9 camera with a 47mm 65mm and 105mm interchangeable lens. Will use a fotoman viewfinder.</p>

I would use the 50mm lens for landscapes. So not as crucial but I would prefer edge to edge sharpness.
-
<p>Sorry to highjack the thread, but I have a question with this. Will an RB lens cover 6x9? Anybody know. As I would like to use my 6x9 back with an RB 50mm lens.</p>
<p>Thanks.</p>

Buying the 5d 2 took food off my table but it is a great way to diet!

The Flexcolor software is quite good.

Yes, that is right.
you can see more about 6x17 in this group.

Danny Burk uses a Howtek 4500 drum scanner.

You will have to take the back frame off of your 5x7 back along with the springs and make a system that holds the 6x17 back to your 5x7 back which slide to hold it or some metal holders you can attach. Then to compose, take your 5x7 ground glass back and attach it to the 5x7 back with the same holder. I am doing the same thing with a full and half plate camera. Good luck

"You know, I almost bought a digital Rebel but after handling it and feeling how cheap and cheesy the camera body felt I settled for another brand of digital camera."
I totally agree with the feel of it but my cousin has a digital rebel and he has totally abused that camera actually it almost looks like it was dropped out a car at high speed onto the desert floor. Of course it wasn't but my point is that even though he has abused that camera, it is performing perfectly.

Jon:
It is difficult to say since the picture you gave is small. Just make sure that your the lensboard rotates on the center of the lens.

Make a slot where the top and bottom pins are on the front standard with the slot going front
to back on both top and bottom pins. This will allow the top to tilt front and back. Then you
will have to have two knobs with threads in the center, one on each side to tighten down the
tilted lensboard.

Hello:
I am looking for all the metal parts on a 8x10 wooden field camera that has seen better days. Any info
please let me know.

What does the size of the film holder's gate have to do with how far the front standard can move? Silly question.
It may be a silly question for you but for him it is not. That is why he asked it.
Please let us be more patient with those that are learning.
He may be asking about wide angle when using the 6x9 back and yes it will affect the amount of movement as you are compressing the bellows.
You may have to use a bag bellows or a recessed lens board.

Okay here is my response.
I bought two old japanese cameras. One half plate camera and one full plate camera. I am currently getting them converted by an expert woodworker who is a good friend. They will both have 5x7 and 4x5 backs bought from the auction site and will both have graflok backs for 6x9. And the beauty of it all is the half plate is about 3.5 pounds! You can see the japanese workmanship even way back when they were made. ?1920s. No jap scrap here. Also when I handle them I think of the craftsmen that built them wow they are all dead I am sure. Also with the 5x7 backs, I am converting them to use my Canham 6x17 back. Although it is a little more investment than the previous posters, I think I paid about $80 for the full plate. I will have some excellent equipment. Oh I forgot, I paid $1000 each for two of my lenses with center filters so I guess I am out of the low budget club. :-)

I attach my nd filters to the lens with duct tape. Works well.
