1.
In Live View, the mirror is up so you cannot view through the viewfinder. So there is no image after fully pressing the shutter button? You should see the image, then, after the image review, Live View returns.

 2.
There was a space where there shouldn't have been one in the link Rob provided. Here's the correct link:
http://www.zeiss.com/cinemizer-oled/en_de/applications/2d--and-3d-viewfinder.html

 3.
How do you manage that? You have to push and hold the Qual button while spinning the thumbwheel unless you have f6 set in the Custom Settings menu set to "yes". The number on the right changes because a the number of "frames" you can shoot changes with the image quality (JPEG vs RAW, etc.).

 4.
"Just one simple reason - greed."

Adobe isn't the one changing the RAW formats. It's the camera manufacturers.

 5.
The BR-2A has a 52mm thread on one side and a Nikon F bayonet mount on the other. That's what you need. The camera body does not have a thread mount.

 6.
At 1:1 (or whatever magnification), you'd get the same DOF whether you were using a macro lens that focused to 1:1 or a non-macro lens with extension tubes, would you not?
