you probably got low scores because this isn't a fantastic photograph, and there is WAY too much photoshop here. Tacky.

bizzare.

Rodrigo.. I understand that excepting a negative critique is tough, especially if you aren't used to it. Technically, the "Shadows" on the face were virtually untouched and are just as dark in my version. The original is very flat, very low contrast, and unpleasing to the eye. If you don't think it is underexposed, I recommend some basic photo classes. First question to ask in class is "how does 18% grey relate to in-camera metering".
Even a simple glance at the tonal range of this image will show you it's underexposure. It's ok, you just keep shooting.

WOW.... not much else to say.

I have seen this very wreckage photo'd many times. This photo doesn't "Suck", but it certainly isn't very interesting. Maily because it's very plain/normal perspective, angle, and centering of the subject. You need to move your feet, try different angles, different distances, anything out of the ordinary. Even try things you think wont work. Either way, you will learn that shooting things strait on, at a medium distance, dead centered, with an ordinary perspective doesn't work as well as you think it does.

Way underexposed. Because the harsh light on the kid's left arm fooled your camera's in-camera meter, a tiny bit of post produciton can help this photo. Here is a different version fixed in photoshop in less then 1 minute.

still trying to find its equal...

Fantastic...

Thanks for any CC you can provide, I apprecaite the feedback. This is
a photo I took a while ago and submitted here in color, but I think I
like the BW version better.

would it be possible to email me a 1600x1200 of this image? I would simply like to use this as my desktop background on my puter.... i love this.

Gorgeous. I wish I had an environment around me like that to shoot.

too much difusion glow.

The photo is a little dark for my taste, even given the mood intent. I natually would prefer something more like this.. but This is fantastic none-the-less

I think its funny how sometimes the most arbitrary subjects and angle produce the coolest photographs. This is better then the current POW in my opinion :)

I come back to this photo all the time. I still think it is possibly the best photo on all of photo.net. (just a subjective opinion of course) :)

Focus and exposure are great... but the overall result doesn't seem all that great.

Great photo, but it appears to be a little over-photoshopped, and she really needs to get rid of those sunglasses :|

There are also some bizzare fuzzy/glow/missing detail artifacs on the left side, on both the yellow and orangish leaves. Perhaps some bad Photoshop techniques used here.

Would be 10X better without the "He Lives" graphic added to the bottom. I find it unnecessary and very distracting.
That aside, very stunning and unusual flower portrait.
