Thanks for the comments Sean and Joe. I hadn't considered using enough dof to get the purple shape into focus but I think I like the idea. I'll have to go back and reshoot. Thanks again for the feedback. -
Many people who view this photograph are bothered by the hot spot on the purple
portion of the foreground. I used a polarizer filter to knock down that highlight as
much as I could but still had some there. Nothing I can do about the sky being where
it is. Wondering if the highlight bothers any of you and what would you have done
differently to eliminate it while shooting, not with p/s.

very good use of mixing bright field and dark field illumination on the glass. the wine glass on the left and the bottle in the foreground look tilted. possibly your camera wasn't square and level. I like the shot very much.

Good eye in catching the speaker mimmicking the hands on the sign. Would've liked to have seen more depth of field since the speaker's actions are related to the hands on the sign.
