Great use of dynamic range. I am still in the old age and use Grad ND in these situations, but good to see what can be done with these new techniques. Composition is little off for me - I almost think that a horizontal format would suit this scene better. Also, dodging corners will probably help to have a stronger focus on the subject. Otherwise, a superb shot

It's interesting - tough lighting for the flower and camera. End result, may not be pleasing to the eyes, looks like to convey a strong theme - may be you had something in your mind. I wonder how it will look with a smaller light source. Refreshing

Lighting does not look natural to me at all - it's kind of painful for my eyes. Subject is good and strong - but I like these kinds of photo in a perspective - rather than trying too hard to bring a studio-feel. That's my personal taste - thanks

Dan: Thanks for your great comment. I am glad you liked it. It's actually a sunrise shot that I took in Crete on a beautiful summer morning. Heavy use of split density filter kept the exposure right on the sky and water at the same time, but darkened the mountain a bit. Thanks again

Tim, good sharness and true color, but the photo has a snapshot feel. There are so many fall photos around - it's hard to do something unique. But you can try some unusual perspective and close-ups - I like your portfolio - good stuff
