Nice to know you like this picture. At my first glance, I share your same feeling of its gentle curves and simplicity. Just try to capture such the feeling with my camera :D

David, Fujichrome Astia 100F was used for this photo :D ... It's luck there's no wind and the light was mild. The good climate helps a lot to make this sun flower look sharp and sweet. Cheers :D

Jesper, you're really get the sharp eyes. A spider web was originally mounted on the tree. The lizard broke the web while it's climbing. I think the line on its nose is part of the broken web.

A Bee is enjoying his food. It really moves so fast that I must pan

my camera to trace it. Just take three shots of it :D Would like to

Yes, this flower is really very beautiful. Some shots were taken on it but I fail to capture its elegance. As it keeps blooming less than a day, I have to wait for its blossom next Summer :-(
  1. To bring out the butterfly clearly, I fully buy your idea that my camera should focus on it. In fact, I've tried it before by setting my camera as spot metering, center focusing and panning my len along with the butterfly. I don't know why the AF response of my Canon camera is always slower than the moving object. Never can I obtain a sharp focus on the flying object. I'm still thinking what's happen to me. However, I keep trying with your suggestion and hope to have a break through in a day. Have a nice day! Cheers :D
  2. This picture was taken in a garden. As my skill is not good enough to trace the moving object, I used a stupid method to catch a flying butterfly ----- stayed by a flower and kept waiting. The aperture was set as f/5.6 and the camera was focused on the flower in advance. Then, the shutter was pressed after I adjusted a bit the camera to fit the angle of butterfly. I stood by this flower for an hour and took about 10 different shots. Cheers :D
