My first try at Medim Format Photography. I shot this with Mamiya RB67
with 50mm in an abandoned warehouse at a closed factory. Shot on slide
film.

he passed away last summer...

I find the softening too much. the skin became plasticy, and unattural. It might work in other pictures though. Thx for sharing

clean and simple. What do you think?

I made this last year. I just want to know how photo.neters like
this picture. I filled the shadows, with petteri's finn-bounce (self
made reflector for built in flash)

actually the credit for the tones goes for my girlfriend. She made me learn not to wear blue with green. So this mornning I chose "earth colors" from my wardrobe :) thank you for your comments I really appreciate it.

I bought some cheapo 100 bucs fresnel light with a stand, which was
made for party lighting. My insipiration was the 30's style
hollywood portrait type shot, wheere they mostly used fresnels. It
can be focused! yey! still A bit pain to control but still not as
bad as desklamps hung by ropes. And of course not as good as pro
flas lights, on pro stands or rail system. There is some fill but
not anough it was way to far out from the frame to have any effect
on the shadows. I will have to fabricate a stand for that. the
camera was on timer and I was running back and forth from the cam to
the chari :) let me know what you think

thx for your input. she is only 16, and is family, and I set myself a goal to put her together a portfolio to try to use her face as a model. but she is still too young. I am also afraid its a very tough profession with very little success in the beginning, thus high chance for her to quit it. We'll see how it goes

with them two people walking up there. it give depth to the photograph.... I really like the perspective

perfect for a photo report type of shot. I got the point even without reading the description. well done

My first attempt of useng a tripod, and a macro lens. The lens itsel
is a 30 year old russian m42 mount Vonla 9. The rose itself was
pink. I wanted it to look like an old bw photo. I used natural light
coming trough a window, no reflectors.. Tell me what you think..

What do you think of this headshot. Is it good enough for her portfolio?
