Is there no such thing as an E-6 kit in a powder form?
-
<it> what kind of a lens does one need? </it>
probably any lens would do...below is a low qua scan of ekta64t taken with an 85a filtre through a Pentax-M 50/2 lens hand held at about 1/15 f/2.4ish ... yeah, not a usual birding set-up, but I was shooting a concert indoors, had thungsten film loaded and only a 49mm orange filtre with me at the time. I shot about a dozen frames creeping closer and closer to the hawk and his squirrel till I was probably about 5 feet away

how does it look with no lens's mounted? I mean cock and fire without a lens on, there's a lever on the left (looking in): it might be bent or getting stuck on something
-
nice, I don't shoot slides with my Zorki's because they scew the film, maybe I should give it a try though...
-
probably it'd depend on the shutter type, in general I'd guess that the spring might get weakened, but I doubt it'd matter unless the camera sits around cocked for a year. Personally I try not keep cameras cocked for too long, and I also excercise the shutters of all my empty cameras at least once a month.

yeah, this is what pre-set means... I hope it'd grow on you, I actually rather like it, it's sort of natural to me to open and close the diaphragm with the ring finger while focusing as usual. Also, no time is wasted on all that mechanical couplings, I canhave the lens focused and stopped down just waiting for the right moment to trip the shutter...
Best in the New Year!

"The fuzziness that I am experiencing is actually not on the photo but while I'm focusing. I can't seem to get the image in my viewfinder to become clear and I have perfect vision...it dosnt seem to make any sense"
were you outdoors and was it cold? or did you just came in from the cold? It could be just fog on the viewfinder/lens???

though not in the same category, but when this happens on ME sup it's an indication that the 2nd shutter curtain is notfully closed. Now, don't all shout at once, I know it's not the same shutter construction, but might be worth a try...

quoth ye manual:
Exposure Metering: Open-aperture, TTL average metering system with CdS cell.
-
I'd try 11 minutes, since the recommended time for EI50 at 68F is 8.5'
-
i meant the 2nd one, sorry, but the first one with the old fellow's got it too, look on the left. The wrinkles and all are pumped up by local contrast, though could have also been colour adjustment for complementaries
-
look around the guy's ear in the 1st one, it's some kind of post-processing PS blur, with the background desaturated to boot, there's probably another layer for all that dodging/burning as well.
-
I would not worry about the oil too much, for example the lens that came on my Zenit (from somewhere in Ukraine) is very generously oiled. I just keep the diaphragmme open when not in use. It's not that hard to flash clean it though, just depends on how much experience you have.

had this happen so bad once that the film altually got torn (and the tail end had to be developped separately), I think that at least for my spools it was caused by one of the balls that gotten jammed. Now before loading I always make sure it's nice and loose. Another thing is the direction in which the film is wound in the camera, for example my Zenit winds it emulsion side out, so I load it this way too, it goes in smoother.

don't be affraid to mix just a portion at a time, I've been doing it for years myself. Surely, your high school's chemistry classroom must have a decent chemical balance

google.com "photo release form" returns 35,4000 pages the first one
http://www.itrc.ucf.edu/df/photo_rel.html is a start

yeah, at first I though to "save" the money and buy one of these 3rd party ones as well, mine did not even have a name on it, but then I found that it just plain don't turn in ANY of my pentax cameras, but does so in a third party teleconverter, so I bought the genuine adapter and had not had any problemmes since
-
ME sup is way passed 1970, and there's a Pentax forum, but having said that I'd suggest A 35-105/3.5, there're 3rd party clones of it was well...might want to get a grip though, the lens is pretty heavy.
As far as FA (AF) lenses go, what's the point?
-
some kind of category theory handwaving?
-
oops, sorry Jos, did not mean to misspell your last name. Also, EtOH is ethanol.
-
Jos v. Eeklen: yes, it's hydrogen peroxide. It's more of a fungus fighting mix, originally I was somewhat queasy about all the colouring and other crap they add to Windex (or whichever your local favourite window cleaner is) but then after trying it on a lens I did not care for found that it works pretty good. EtOH leaves streaks, windex mix takes them off. Neither seems to have any ill effects on coating, not that I can see anyway. btw I have a pair opf some kind of low-qua chinese-made binoculars and the the "coating" there was pretty much completely wiped using EtOH, so you may be quite right about avoiding such home made remedies.
-
your dry paper might have caused more damage (micro scratches) My usual approach is 70% EtOH, followed by 50/50 Windex/HOOH, followed by breath is necessary. Good luck
-
I am pretty sure it does so on Fed ... certainly on Fed 3

I don't wear gloves myself, and I think it's pretty safe, so long as you don't rub your eyes or pick your nose while waiting before inversions :-), also don't eat while developing and wash your hands with soap afterwards.
ZX-7 (MZ-7) won't release the shutter
