Amazing, especially considering that it was handheld.. The final result is phenomenal!

I was a little perplexed when I looked at the shot.. I seemed to remember the tripod ban in there. I am glad you snuck the shots in before they stopped you.. the final result is gorgeous, and something we rarely see. If I had that photo I would definitely be printing and hanging it..

That's a neat catch.. I think I might have tried a different title tho.. like 'Introspective', or maybe 'Preflight check'.. :-)

A beautiful photo Pierre, and your after effects are superb. Very mediterranean and lots of memories for me. Afkharisto as my Greek friends would say :-)
-
Thank you my friends :-)
Funny you mentioned that Pierre.. the thought crossed my mind as I came upon the scene and took the shot.. the set up, however, was too perfect to resist :-)

Rajat, Dr. Baev and Bulent.. thank you for dropping in and the comments. I agree that Rajat's rendition looks like a different pic.. I quite like it too, and it does bring the kid into perspective a bit more. I think initially I was more fascinated with the colors of the rocks and the background blues. I might have to play with it a bit more :-)

I haven't seen one of those coffee grinders in a long time Bulent! Glad you stopped to take a shot :-)

Great catch Luis! I wonder how that photo would look with the places of the priest and the woman reversed :-)

I've seen slugs nibbling on even the poisonous ones.. so just because they like it....

thanks Kent, that scene is very close to what I remember it being like.
-
Not quite, but that's why they are named 'paper' daisies :-)

Thanks Bulent, really appreciate your dropping in to comment :-)

Thanks Raymond :-)

He looks old and venerable :-) I think you captured his essence beautifully!

Quite the find.. I had to do a bit of research to find the beast :-).
Hericium (= Hydnum=Dryodon) coralloides.
One of the hedgehog fungi that grows typically on beech trees, and may occasionally be found on oak, elm or ash. They can get to be quite large (12 in).
They are sort of edible apparently. The flesh is bitter, but that disappears with boiling. The pendant spines or teeth are where the spores are produced.
And a nice shot by the way :-)
