  1. Ha! That is masterfully done indeed. My only comment is that I cannot believe that you did not have 8 different pictures of the guy in the hat.. what were you thinking? (Just kidding. LOL). I really like the relatively uncomplicated nature of the composition.. and it certainly is a "Pierre"!

Thanks for dropping by and your comments, Pierre, always appreciated.

  2. Well seen, and your final pp is excellent. Love the tones and textures. Ideally I would have liked to see just a bit more of the top of that window, but I can see how you might have been limited by equipment or space..

Hi Andrea, even though for me, there is no clear focal point in this photo, it is very pleasing to look at. Your black and white tones and rendition are really well done. I almost reached for the top of my head to see if it was in fact getting wet! lol.

This looks like a lactarius.. their flesh tends to be on the brittle side.. if the flesh is damaged you might get a green coloured milk (that is one of the ones we used to get in Lebanon. Not sure of the species). If it is lactarius deliciosus, it is edible and good after washing. Very tasty fried up with a little bit of butter and some salt, pepper and maybe a touch of lemon added at the end. The milk from the deliciosus is mild and turns a carrot color quite quickly. Cap and stipe may have greenish spots.

A lot of the lactarius species are inedible.. but typically not poisonous.
