I quite like the it... it gives some sense of movement and life with the static fountain base and buildings in contrast. I focused on the the fountain and just waited for something to come into the foreground...i don't think sharp focus on the two girl would add much to this? There again it may be that i need glasses!

Summer 2003 - Cooling off in London's fountains....

The intention was to make a romantic picture using a sad sight such as the neglected collapsing Brighton West Pier. An Icon from another time, this Victorian structure is now slowly dissapearing into the English Channel.

 

Yes it is an interesting subject... it is out of focus to highlight the couple. Can you suggest a boring subject for me to replace it with; would this make it more interesting?

right, for that comment i'm gonna turn one box green another purple and the other yellow... only joking! The main reason i did it was because i wanted to highlight a London Icon, which is the Red telephone box... just one on its own would be boring, unless of course i found one with a superhero in struggling to pull on his underpants over his tights! there is an open-top red bus in the right of the frame that distracts from the red of the phone box so i just tried this... the blue/grey was better than b/w because it reminds me of those Grey London days... it works for me...

Taken along part the 'old' Death Railway (Burma-Thailand) that was

used by the Japanese in WWII. Much of this railway is still used

today and crosses the Bridge over the River Kwai(Kwae) also in

Kanchanaburi province.
