Sitting under a brolly in pouring rain utilising the deluge to conceal
the backdrop. Loch Maree, Torridon, Scotland. Very difficult to
manage well.

A billion buttercups blazing in a field below a grove of Scots pine on
a fine summer evening at Nairn in Scotland at sunset.

Thank you for your comment. Please don't think I am in anyway put out by your comment - I am not, but I am curious to know what you are seeing on your screen that I am not. It looks very close to my original transparency save for the sky which is just a touch redder. The grass and flowers are spot on both in terms of contrast and hue. Does it appear rough in anyway? If anything I erred on the side of under sharpening. Here is a link to a larger file.

A glorious summer sunset with blood red light dappling Ben Loyal in
Sutherland, Scotland is reflected in Loch Hakel and serendipitously
coincided with moonrise behind the outline of the mountains. Yes it
is the real moon.

Sunrise and a mist lifts off Loch Hakel in front of Ben Loyal. A very
beautiful Summer morning with a gorgeous reflection.

Just before the sun sinks on an autumn afternoon, the rust red of
alpine glow lights up the distant Cuillins on the Isle of Skye.

An isolated Scots pine and birch tree catching the first morning
sunlight both juxtaposed with a long lens to compress perspactive

Hi David
I am fine with criticism, I don't necessarily agree but that is both yours and mine prerogative. This image certainly hasn't resonated with others as much as it does with me. I actually love the composition, love the ice patterns and the reeds and perhaps above all love the way it transports me back to that very fine morning beside Loch Maree. I actually think the composition works really very well, almost to the design and meticulous precision of an ornamental garden yet this is wild and found. The blue sky, well admittedly it wouldn't normally be my preference but I do feel it suits the scene here. Anyway that is my thoughts and no amount of me adding my personal thoughts on the matter will or should change the mind of anyone viewing it. I am sure I will be able to find another image that you will enjoy much more.

A pristine clear and cold winter morning at the sheltered bay on Loch

Another version of a fabulous sunset over at my favourite Scottish
beach, Mellon Udrigle.

Hi Scott
I checked on the original transparency and it is very very close. I could easily back off the red sat a little on the hills though.

Strathconon Mist

A pink band of mist strung out like candyfloss and floating above a
concealed river in the glen below is illuminated by dawn's first kiss.
Even the sheep obligingly lined up to form yet another layer in this
lovely pastoral scene.
