What a disgusting waste - perfect tribute to the excesses of mankind.

How annoying is it for people to post comments and questions about this image and many others on photonet when the answers to the questions are in the description or intro!

Hi, I like this very much.Couldnt find the poprtrait format so I copied and rotated.

Hi Jonah I agree with the other comments too but I would add that cutting the spiders legs off at bottom of frame is also offputting.

The sky cropped.

I find it disgusting that this picture has received a 1/1 rating from the last two raters.
This picture is not a 7 but it is very nice with a soft romantic and maybe lonely feel.Maybe cropping the sky a little would strengthen the composition. I hope other photonetters look at these last two raters ( Pavel Kaplun & Dariusz Miszkiel ) and compare their work to the above. I see little difference!

Hi, I was wondering if Brendan could clarify his statement please. I dont understand either.

Hi Inge - congratulations on having the vision to previsualise the final result. Only a knowledgeable photographer in harmony with nature could capture an image such as this. Reminds me of a vein of opal running through its native rock.

Hi Todd - this is ingenious and so creative. The light on this side of the balls makes this a cracker of a shot!

Igor I love the mood that fog imparts. This image arouses feelings of "dont go there" - very clever.I would like to see this in BW.

Strong, gritty image, Roger, gives me the impression of a hot barren landscape.

Hi Cristina,
this is a beautiful, dimensional portrait with soft flattering lighting. IMHO this picture would improve without those wooden knobs and holes and a little off the left - I think its more compelling but thats just my opinion.I did a quick fix in PS for demo.

Hi,
This statuesque pose of a very beautiful model has awesome lighting and has captured the essence of all women.I would leave that trail out and resubmit this striking and seductive photograph.

Hi John,
Nice composition, exposure, sharp - IMHO I would prefer to see the horizon cropped. Seems to force more attention to the bird and makes for a stronger image.

Hi Chris, I love your philosophy and the pose and lighting - only a very good photographer good achieve this outcome.
Any photograph is subjective - hence my former opinion.

Since when is someone elses opinion nonsense? I respect yours but agree to disagree! This is a forum, not a dictatorship.

I personally dont like this overall image much - the pose is great, the look - good. I think it would be better as a vertical crop to the model. She looks like she's falling backwards.
That negative space to the left doesnt hold the image together but rather loosens it up.
I prefer this cropped version.

The birds look digitally superimposed over the seascape as the lighting on the birds is coming from a different angle to the sunset. IMHO if this was a genuine picture there would be very little detail this side of the birds and they would be more of a silhouette. Can the author please advise?
