Hi Cosmin Nice exposure and lighting, however flower photography demands that a perfect specimen be used. This flower looks tired and worn out.

Sorry to spoil the party, that rock is an eye block for me, my eye keeps returning to it instead of the COI, I also think the foreground is not required up to the lighter water coloured pool. Bottom third could be classed as wasted information. One poster said the composition was perfect, well I couldnt disagree more but thats just my opinion.

Hi John
was this Victoria or Tasmania or elsewhere?
Regards
Peter

I would like to see more of the bottom. Its cropped too tight for my liking. Otherwise a beautiful image.

Every now and then an amazing shot appears here, this is one of them. Chris, I doubt whether anybody could improve on this, the focus, timing and composition are absolutely brilliant. Kudos to you for a magnificent image.

It was very nice, except for the banner. I know why its there but unfortunately it does ruin the image.

Hi Stephan, its been said before, raters should not be anonymous, that would get rid of the gutless. However if the rating system didnt have anonymity then many images would not progress up the ladder.

Jennifer, plenty of impact in this shot. I think clone out the meat for an even greater impact

Congratulations on your 1st posting - a brilliant start.Doesnt get any better than this, timing is perfect and background better than perfect. How could any miserable sod give this a 4/4 rating ?

Great photoshop technique, looks exactly like a Rarinda Prakasa image as well.He does the same technique and is from Indonesia too.
Also have a look at his folder - very nice !

Hi its spelt KOOKABURRA.Fine shot

This is an absolute beauty ! You are a brilliant photographer Jody.

Hi Zack, this is magic and I love it. The cracked mud looks like metallic glass and has a fired look. The sunrise adds beauty to the fragility. 7/7 from me.
-
Hi Chip, this is too magenta for me - the sunlight doesnt look normal. I would also clone out that small strip of dark cloud top right.Just my opinion.Otherwise a very beautiful image.
You cannot combat faceless cowards who lurk on photonet. They must have nothing better to do than sweat on a great image arriving so they can kick its guts.

Jorge I disagree that its perfect in every way, I have made it larger and it seems to be soft on focus at the eyes. The legs seem sharper. Other than that it needs a quarter of the right side cropped off IMHO.
The rest of the image is very good.
