A brilliant example of great bird photography. Deliberate high shutter sp has frozen action and image is razor sharp.

Great timing Andy !

I mustnt have a sense of humour. Cant see anything funny, aesthetically pleasing or creative here.

Bloody fantastic ! Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations Wim - this is an awesome capture. Extremely well visualised and executed. I love it !

To me , wind cathedral is a good record shot of a very unusual geographic feature. Its well exposed, technically OK but there is no real art in it.
-
To the cropped version - No Way ! The original annoys me because the photographer had all the time in the world to INCLUDE that full meter bottom right - not cut it through the centre and unbalance the composition forever.

Fresh , Simple and Beautiful. Thanks.

Someone rated this a 4/4 what a joke! This image is as good as Ive ever seen on photo.net.
When are the administrators going to get rid of these anonymous cowards who low rate images such as this which is superb in every aspect.

Hi Mel
This could be a nice moody shot but there is way to much of a magenta cast in it for my liking.
Try and correct some out if possible.

Hello Scott, even though this is a comp - 7/7 for imagination and execution.

Hi David
Did you use software to create the water? If so would you mind telling me the name of it?
Great shot by the way -you have captured the full story in one image.

Great portrait - even better without the clashing white clothing and strap.

Fabulous work. You have turned the adage " Never work with kids and animals" on its head. This is as good a baby shot as I've seen. Congratulations !!

For all you critics out there, I defy you to produce a bird shot as good as this with or without PS. Having been a photographer for many years in all facets of photography, birds are without doubt one of the toughest subjects on earth! This argument has gone from physics to photoshop, expert opinion to downright amateur hyperbole. Miguel is a regular contributor on photonet with regular high rating images and the calibre of his work and portfolios = a fine artisan. I say bravo and 10 / 10 for Miguels talents.

This is an awesome shot - I love it. Talk about timing - perfect ! I think the food detracts a little though and " de naturises " the image a little. I hope you dont mind but I have posted what I think would be an improvement. I cloned out the meat and cropped in a little. This then gives the image some mystery as to how and where it was taken.

I think this may be a little oversharpened. Less sharpening would blend the image together more and intensify the movement effect. Just my opinion.

I love this "living " Black + White. You have captured this relaxing scene perfectly - I can almost feel that wave washing around my feet.

Someone gave this a 2/2 but I gave it a 7/7 because it is awesome. Great colours, mood, composition and movement - a beauty !

For me , it doesnt get any better than this - all the qualities I like are present - great lighting, composition, emotion. Congratulations!

Hi Steve dont be so hard on yourself, this shot is as close to perfection as it gets. What is perfection? The only reason this is not perfection to me is that I didnt take it! IMHO this is as aesthetically pleasing as it gets on photonet .
