I like it, the two sets really make the shot interesting. If only the very tips of the big one hadn't gotten clipped, but that's really minor, nice job!

Sweet picture! Did you make a small hole in the bulb somewhere so it would still burn up like that? Very original compared to other shots of this type!

A really nice image, though I think maybe the white balance is a little off, the tone looks very green to me. A weel framed shot of a beautiful big cat though.

I'd try to catch it at a time of day when there's no sun shining on it. Sun with long exposure waterfall shots tends to give you blown out areas (such as in the middle and bottom of the falls in your shot). But for the firs time, it's a nice start, keep on practicing, I know I never get sick of taking falls shots myself, however many people have taken them before.
  1. Naturally they do, and I have my monitor calibrated fairly well, but to each their own, just offering my thoughts.

It's your photograph, you have every right to disagree with my critique, I just got the wrong impression from your first reply, I apologize.

A really beautiful shot, but it kinda looks like the lanterns are just floating there, I think it might benefit from being a bit wider field of view, perhaps step back about 25 steps. Just a suggestion, cheers!
  2. I think you have a really nice portrait to work with, but I don't particularly like the B&W tones here, they look a little too blue or something to me. That's been a large problem for me with switching to digital, finding a good black and white process. I played with your photo a little bit, but it might just be more to my personal taste, cheers.
